This platform will revolutionize science based on Blockchain. Orvium will empower scientists to share their complete studies by making available research data, codes, etc. This increases scientific validity.
You are correct  Smiley
Researchers are usually inspired by existing research to generate new ideas.
The ultimate objective is for Orvium to be the leading publication platform for the research community while returning the benefits of science to society.

Let’s meet Orvium’s founders

Most Blockchain startups fail only months after launch. Why? Because the teams don’t have enough experience.
Fortunately for Orvium though, our rockstar 🎸 founders have plenty of experience, having worked for institutions such as CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), Fermilab (U.S. Dept. of Energy), and NASA.

The project with the concept of science is pretty good and we have to support it for its success in the blockchain world. Hopefully many investors are interested in this project. Good luck for Orvium project.

At present, the whole industry of encrypted money market is no good. The ICO of the Orvium project team is slow to start. This is an excellent technology project, which can keep a close eye on it.

After reading through the white-paper, it seems that the current publishing market is highly oligopolistic, and that the top five current publishers account for 50% to 70% of all publications. Obviously that's a big issue and leaves open Orvium to take over a huge portion of this multi-billion market.

Orvium manages the life cycle of scientific publications and data related to decentralization. Orvium opens up the full potential of a market that is decentralized, fair, transparent and competitive, free from bias, oligopoly and personal interests.

If you haven't already, check out this competitive analysis:
https://medium.com/luxe-equity/ico-review-orvium-orv-bee95b6baeb0

Here's an excerpt from the post: ''In 2015, there were an estimated 9 million active researchers. They published between 1.8 and 2 million articles per year, which produced more than 2.5 billion downloads from STM (Scientific, Technical and Medical) publishers’ websites. These numbers grow by 3 to 3.5% yearly and do not consider open access models which represent an important percentage. To give context on those numbers, 3 billion downloads is the total number of apps downloaded from iTunes Apple store during its first 3 years of existence. The current scientific publication industry is one of the most lucrative worldwide. In 2015, just the global STM publishing market was estimated to be $25 billion, and that just represents a portion of the market — libraries and universities worldwide are normally required to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) about the cost of their contracts with the publishers.''

The post speaks for itself Smiley

Tell me more about the project. How do you tackle industry-sponsored clinical trials, as you know they are all manipulated to suit the client?

Hello there Storyline,

Good question. Orvium's team doesn't set the focus on clinical trials, but, as you know (and I think it is also the reason why you ask), there are many market inefficiencies in scientific and medical publishing. Orvium's goal is to eliminate these inefficiencies and to give power back to the research community instead of a few major publishing players. This way, everyone including non-researchers will benefit from the platform (in a direct or indirect way).

Often, it is not known who reviews works of published pieces which means that this sector is open to manipulation. One of Orvium's goals is to change exactly that. Orvium's platform will also have social media functions and publishing and editing rights that can be set by the researchers themselves so this space will become more transparent. May I ask if you are in the clinical trials space yourself? Cool

I recommend checking out the picture on page 23 of the whitepaper here because it clearly shows Orvium's publication model's advantages compared to the current industry model: https://orvium.docsend.com/view/nvr6ywj
And also read page 24 to 31 as those pages show Orvium's business model.  Grin

Edit: I've added the picture from page 23 for your convenience.
