Orvium team is still hard at work developing the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) of the platform. It's slated for end of Q3/Q4 of 2018. The token sale dates aren’t available yet. Details about it will be announced here, so please be more patient. Thanks.

Manuel Martin, founder of Orvium was interviewed recently by Peter Keay from the Bitgenstein’s Table, the Crypto Philosophy Podcast. The podcasts begins with a great introduction by Peter about how the academic publishing in scientific and medical fields is central to much of society. Peter then dives into the discussion with Manuel about his role in CERN for the past 12 years and then talk about the main problems in the current scientific publishing model. Some of the features that make Orvium the best yet platform to go for is a secure identification system that is linked with email or GitHub. It encompasses settings, passwords, and personal profiles. The deal could not get better: it allows for several article exportation options and the ability to mesh external apps. You will always get the approval for searching for publication and data that is relevant to your niche.
The fact that Orvium Co-founders, Manuel Martin, and Antonio Romero, have contributed to the research at European CERN tells you that you should have no doubts about the platform that the solution has been built on. Orvium is built on Invenio framework, which is developed at European CERN.

But also keep in mind that the platform will need a good amount of time to become popular among its target group. Trust needs to be built first.
