My crystal ball just malfunctioned.

Bitcoin Core developer [PGP] Warning: For most, coin loss is a larger risk than coin theft. A disk can die any time. Regularly back up your wallet through FileBackup Wallet to an external storage or the (encrypted!) cloud. Use a separate offline wallet for storing larger amounts.

The loons here think that others are as crazy as they are to view BTC as an investment vehicle.

Is black Monday referring to black Friday (the day after thanksgiving)? That would mean we will all be profitable and not in the red, or black Monday as in death and just a continuation in the decline in price.

It certainly isn't; however, in the case of a US dollar decline (or crash) BTC could become an attractive alternative means of exchange. That said, it is held back by the software/volatility/security issues that this forum has been beating to death over the last month.

Who wouldn't? This selloff is an excellent opportunity to acquire more coins.

Bitcoin is the ultimate freedom test. It tells you who is giving lip service and who genuinely believes in it.
