What about wasted time for those that registered and waited 55 minutes?

Obv free bets worth 5 btc total distributed equally to all who were registered and waiting.  Peoples time is not something to play with.

That is not a fair solution - there are those such as myself who tried to register before the tourney was to start, but the site was barely functional and couldn't register.

Wasted my time. Came home early from a family party just to wait 45 minutes for a tournament that didn't even happen. Pretty upset about this. Why not run the planned tourney and have a second 5 BTC to ease the unhappy customers who couldn't register? Now you just wasted everyones'  time instead...

The site had a bad script running that made my computer very laggy and barely responsive. Had to reboot.

I can pretty much guarantee no DDoS attack as well. They know users can't verify this, so it is an easy way to deflect blame.

Getting a bigger response than expected - or not having the bandwidth or software to handle it - is understandable, and just disappointing.

Lying about it and inventing a DDOS attack for an excuse is not understandable.
If the site lies about that, what else will they be lying about?

Hey all,

As most of you know, we had to cancel tonight's 5BTC freeroll. We feel terrible that so many people were looking forward to tonight. We are so incredibly frustrated.

Running a freeroll on a website that allows anonymous accounts on a day that is already super busy for our sportsbook, in hindsight, wasn't a great idea. The 3 freerolls on Thursday gave us a false sense of security, as we only had about 95 signups to these tournaments, compared to the thousands of hits we received during tonight's registration time.

In addition to the traffic, we also had 2 DDoS attempts. We say attempts as we currently do have a service that mitigates these attacks, but usually we get some performance impact on the larger attacks as they are being mitigated. Our increased traffic and these attacks caused massive issues around the interface to poker. Unfortunately, this also affected the sportsbook.

We are proud that the industry regards Nitrogen Sports as one of the best. We will do whatever is required to make Nitrogen Poker the best as well. We attribute our success to you, and are grateful for your continued support. We're looking forward to making this up to you, and hope to see you all in the Nitrogen chat soon.

Come on everyone. I get that it's a free shot at nitro to come on here and complain, but it just makes you look like whiney cheapskates. This isn't poker stars it's a small bitcoin sports book.

Nitro keep rolling it out as you can. These suckers will keep coming back to bet sports no matter what they say. Cloudbet seems way more scammy to me and you guys have always treated me fair.  Go nitro.

For ipad, i've tired puffin and safari browsers. Clicking playpoker now or new window both do nothing for me.

Finished a session on ipad. Only misclicked twice. Was 2 tabling at times.  Software is way better than swc imo(for mobile). Im on ipad mini btw. One of the misclicks was clicking to 8 instead of 6 at 1/2. Trying to back to 6, but not enough time. Software desperately needs a timebank.
