Cam not going for the fumble....wise guys money coming in 6 and 7 figures for Denver last 12 hours before Super Bowl.
Cam sure had a threatened look throughout the game...oh wait it was Von Miller not the wise guys. He didn't go for the fumble b/c he didn't want to get hit anymore.
Some MVP. Even Manning with his fused neck would have gone for that fumble...no excuses for this guy. Cam did not show any competitive spirit towards the end and just wanted out of there.
I can't disagree that Cam played pretty badly along with the rest of the offense, especially the O-line. Even if Cam had recovered the fumble it still would have been 4th and ~15 which is hardly a sure thing to get 1st down.
Yeah I know but QBs routinely dive for a fumble in regular season and this was the SB...I still don't understand he was right there and the ball got away from the first guy that put a hand on for Denver...Even if it would have been 4th down, a punt is much better then they having the ball at the Carolina 4. I really think he let his teammates down, not b/c they lost but because of lack effort. Also, his body language was saying he wanted just to get out of there. The Denver players were saying that after the game...Great talent but right now mentally he is not where Brady, Russell Wilson and Manning are.
Let's see how he comes back next year.. Maybe he needs to see a shrink as LeBron did when he lost the in the finals on his first season in Miami.
He needs to get his head together or else he will waste his talents.
