No, i mean add additional load on your +5V PSU rail. The miner still use +12V. You can add HDD or old cdrom drive.
Some people say this do the trick to make the PSU more stable.

Connected an old HDD, it worked, the PSU won't crash when raising the MH/s or voltage. Thank you. Oh, also, another Hex16A2 unit came today, I wonder if adding it to another rail will remove the need for the HDD or if the trick just works with the +5v rail.

Nice, i read about this trick on thread  Grin. Additional HEX16C only use 12V, so you still need load on +5V rail.

If the host is Rpi or TPLINK, then get the power from PSU +5V. Then you can remove the hdd.
