The Wolverines won the lone previous meeting between the schools, taking an 82-79 win on the road way back on December 22, 1962.

Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros

The Rangers, meanwhile, missed out on the playoffs last year and finished 78-84 which was a tie for third place in the AL West.  The Rangers have great hitting still, but they will need their starting rotation to be better than expected.  A lot is needed from Cole Hamels, who goes against Justin Verlander on Thursday.
