I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, ethereum is great currency and I believe it will reach 15k when the time is right, but expecting this to happen in 2018 is far exaggerated I would say. Perhaps in 3 years

Why not because Ethereum now is getting popular day by day. Many ICO's are using Ethereum for their tokens based on. The rate of Ethereum can be increased and it just a matter of time Ethereum will reach $15000 in this year or maybe more.

$15k seems way too unrealistic in my opinion and it seems like op is over optimistic about Ethereum. I am a fan of Ethereum myself and I am HODLING a small stash of ETH at the moment for long term profits. I believe Ethereum has the potential to reach $1000 soon and $2000 quite easily by the end of this year if the market continues to rally for a prolonged period of time. I am confident Vitalik and his team will continue to update this coin on regular basis and am expecting the move to POS should help it in the long run which is why I am optimistic about this coin for now.

ETH is surely getting pumped no matter what, it will go above 1000 USD and will reach around 2000 or 2500 max mark but not more than that. I am sure you are talking about the ETH and not the BTC.

honestly, in my personal opinion, eth price will be quite difficult to reach at $ 15,000 if price falls more dominating than price rises.

In my prediction in the last of this month, the price of ETH could be around $1200, and in the last of this year around $2500. All this prediction is reasonable because from technical and fundamental ETH now in the strong level support and has strong demand. In fundamental there are good news about ETH that approaching SEC decision.
