No one can't connect to the nodes. Because all nodes are from China. Great China Firewall blocks our connections.

LOL.

pretty sure there was some foul play here Smiley

probably they setup lots of VPS before it started, only allowing internal connections

i could be wrong, or maybe i'm just angry i wasted a lot of time from exact release time till now Cheesy

I had no problem. I just added the nodes from the original post and it synced right up. I started mining after only the 60th block was created

i added all nodes too,
also there was definitely nothing wrong on my side lol

maybe myself and the other 5 people before block 500 were just unlucky

I have mined 1 block now

My previously mining miner suddenly stopped and lost all of it's network connections. Anyone know what is going on? This happened on two different computers.

I added a whole big list of all nodes but still not connected to the network.
Can anyone who is connected to the network to share its peers.dat file.

Ok, after looking at http://www.rvdmarkets.com/en/ that they claim to own. They accept Visa and Mastercard to fund USD on their site.

'The «RVD Markets Limited» broker Company is registered on the British Virgin Islands in 2010 and has all necessary certificates and documents on conducting commercial activity.'

"In the Company «RVD Markets Limited» processing of payments on bank cards is carried out by the processing center PayOnline.'

If all this is true, it would allow people to buy Rvdcoin (btc too also?) with a bank card easily which would be huge.. This sites user base would explode overnight.

OP you should explain this all in better detail.

I added these to both computers and the debug.log file just says connection time out. These computers used to be connected to the network and then suddenly they aren't any more.

As I am new to mining, I would like to ask how long it normally takes before one finds a block?

Due to the connectivity problems earlier today I lost a good 2 hours in which the difficulty seems to have exploded. When I got my QT finally up and running, diff was 56.
My Quad Core i7 has been at it ever since for the past 2-3 hours but my balance is still 0

Is that normal?

Thanks
Matt (aka mining n00b) :-)

It's really early, so it's hard to get a good estimate.
But make sure your miner is running (CPU load, and getmininginfo), then just be patient.
