This is just bad.  Either it saves the price temporarily and the flood gates roll in, or the next 3 days, an even worse crash happens.  Come on gox, just be normal.  Anyone know what is going on here?

I can see that something isn't right, but what is it exactly they are doing and why are they doing it?

I have no idea, somebody was trying to sell 6000-8000 coins, and it froze everything.  So all trading is like stagnant.  Once something goes back up, i think all hell might break loose.

This is just stupid, I should just be done with bitcoin.  How can any exchange work like that dealing with a 15billion market cap.  How do you expect bitcoin to go mainstream?

Yes what is this loop you people refer to? Connection problems? Latency? Other exchanges work fine and price seems stable. So why the panic?

Go to:

and look at the 1 minute chart. That is what they are talking about.

Because it's MtGox and before the loop, price were going down.
The loop created panic for a few minutes, but everything's fine by now. We should have a nice rebound.
Except that the faith in MtGox is affected.

I am seeing this loop issue too on Clark Moody.

Another issue is I have two sell orders and I cancel them… the interface says they are cancelled, and the 3 seconds later the orders are back. This is really bad because I have one listing at a price that I'm not sure I want to sell at.

This could cost me thousands.

Gox needs to just shut their API off until it's fixed.

It's really scary that they don't know how to do it and/or don't know that they should do it.

Sam Spade: We were talking about a lot more money than this.
Kasper Gutman: Yes, sir, we were, but this is genuine coin of the realm. With a dollar of this, you can buy ten dollars of talk.

I am still confused by what you mean. Can you dumb it down for me please? All I see is that on MtGox that have stated the last trade was Last:$877.46 for quite a whilte.

Never trust that ticker on Mt.Gox's own site. It is very misleading as it gives you the impression that the last price reflects the current price or the market price, when it clearly doesn't.

The BTC Ticker I coded for Mt. Gox (http://btcdevelop.com) went completely retarded during this loop. It seems as if their websockets as well as their API was experiencing problems as well.

Another reason why not to use Mt. Gox!!
