BTW, the scammer DEV was supposed to send bounty to a graphics guy I hired to make this graphic for us:

He did an awesome job, so I sent him the bounty as promised this morning.  And if you ever need a gfx guy to do some work for you, he can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=182172

Well, my vision for building the support community and the amount of effort I was going to put into it would have been worth the equivalent value of BSS coins.  I was willing to part with them and send first, simply because the guy trusted me (I was admin and running the whole thing, issuing bounty for graphics development work, etc...) -- so you could say it was a way for me to buy a sizable share in the coin with the hope to develop it into something meaningful.  I had some ideas, but never got to share them with the crooked DEV...  Hey, if this thing stays as is and somehow reaches an exchange, you'll be in a good place.  Cheesy

Sent 5LTC to your sig address. I got scammed not long ago and I know how bad it sucks. Hopefully you can gain back some.

I have been quite lucky with a few new launches of altcoins in the past (Protoshares, Datacoin ... ) and made a few dollars. When I saw the Announcement about Bosscoin, for some reason, it sounded fishy to me.

I didn't bite. I was wondering if I would regret this, but as I see now, It was a good decision...

Just wanted to bump this with more than just the word bump in it Wink

So Bosscoin himself has disappeared now? Has anyone looked at the code for the Bosscoin client to make sure there is nothing in it like a key logger or trojan?

Oh and it won't be an easy decision to share his real identity with the masses.  Who here thinks I should?

I wouldn't advise it, not only is it likely illegal it is also highly immoral in my opinion. If he is a scammer then forget about him, it's not worth it just put your efforts into something else rather than rallying a witch hunt. Also contact forum staff to ban him and again if he signs up with a new account (on same ip address/email).

However, are you sure he has scammed you? Because he hasn't contacted you back? Perhaps something has happened to him? He is ill? There are lots of possibilities. We should wait and see what happens in a few days, until then I will point my mining elsewhere though and cancel my buy order on these coins so thanks for the heads up.

I agree with StableCoin, it appears to have a good little team behind it now and I have also been trying to mine that, although finding the difficulty a little hard for my machine.

A new project that looks like it may have something will be CasinoCoin (CAC) which is launching in 14 days. It has 3 professional devs behind it who are in talks with casinos around the world who are looking for a single casino currency to use instead of fiat (cash in/cash out system in house). It looks like they have done some research and they may have something. It's not just another clone coin, although they are taking the name of the old CasinoCoin which is dying due to the dev abandoning it. Check out the bottom posts by 'casinocoin' - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=258090.300

Another great coin is peercoin, although that is sha256 so most can't mine it. I'm investing as much money as I can into that though Smiley.

I don't see your point about it being illegal and I will notify admins, thanks for your suggestions.  As far as him disappearing, he was actively responding, up to an hour before my post, suggesting that he transferred the funds.

hmm, ok. Also, it's called the Data Protection Act which is in effect in the UK. I am not sure about the USA but I feel the same rules apply. You are revealing his personal information with intent that a person/persons harm that individual or their property. I'm certainly not a legal expert but this surely would be illegal, and as I said it is morally wrong in my opinion (not that my opinion is be all, end all lol. I just have a right to speak and I feel this would be a very bad move).

No it would still be against the act. You would go to the police as it would be a matter for them. You wouldn't go round the town saying this person stole my money, here is his address... do your worst. That's called 'incitement' (to commit and crime) and is most certainly against the law. It's a very basic concept to understand. You can't encourage anyone to break the law. Why else would he be posting the address, to get people to send some flowers over?

That's an assumption you are making.  I just shared what I knew to warn the community against the scammer.  Let this be on the record, I am not advocating or encouraging any malice or revenge and I don't know anything about who he/she/it is in reality.  Just guessing based on a public domain, google search.  Either way I have learned the coin provides little value, though it is saddening to have BossCoin go away as a name.  I may revive this project, under a new domain, with a strong alliance of real and talented people.

I didn't see anyone telling anyone else to break the law.

His details are posted for awareness and to prevent other people from dealing with the scumbag. That most certainly is legal and beneficial for the community.

So, here goes the story of another shit / scam coin...  Shocked Shocked Shocked I met the founder of bosscoin (handle here is bosscoin btw) on Monday, the day of BSS' launch and offered him to help with the bosscoin.org site and community building.  Fast forward to this morning, below was the first revision that I took a screen shot of, which I was going to feature on http://bosscoin.org unless he returned my stolen LTC's.

A minute after posting this, he redirected bosscoin.org to bosscointalk.org - to hide the scam home page I massaged to look pretty.

In my defense, I always wanted to work in developing an ALT coin and promoting it to build a strong community of supporters.  I liked the name and saw potential in the coin; I promoted the hell out of the coin even though I was waiting for him to let me know what sets it apart from other coins.  I asked him 20-30 questions per day that fell on deaf ears.  Yesterday, he promised we'll talk on the phone after a planned exchange of 50LTCs for BSS, I stayed up (stupid) til almost 1AM and he went AWOL.  This morning he said he transferred the funds.  I gave him an hour for BSS or LTC to show up at my account, otherwise I will do this, first tarnishing the BossCoin, and eventually him.

I will not reveal his identity, yet -- but when I do, feel free to let him know how you feel about having set up pools, mined and believed in BSS.  Personally, I apologize sincerely if I convinced you to get into BSS, as I naively thought the guy was truly sincere.

If you'd like me to work with you on showcasing and building a community around your ALT with real value (as in StableCoin) and support, you can view my posts promoting BSS on here and PM me.

If you feel for me (yes, I do feel dumb having fallen for this, but I honestly believed it could have been *something*), my LTC address is LSitcdX2t8DzeHsaFKceUouSMonx1aJRE7.

Lastly, if the BSS coin reaches an exchange (he is supposedly building one just for BSS and talking with others), please make sure it is as close to BTC 0.0 as possible.

Lesson learned.  Moving on.

Kind of saw it comin, that why I was hesitant to mine it. BSS = BullShit Scam in my eyes from the get go lol

Glad I didn't put much time into this coin.

Hope you find a better coin in the future to work on since you seem to be a honest member of the community.. Preferably a CPU mined coin since that is the only type of coin I have a chance at mining decently.
