As there is no dev supporting this coin, the difficult seems to decrease instead of increase and 90% of the sites listed in the first post are dead I decided to sell all my casino coins. Too bad, but other coins seem to have more potential at the moment.

I think there is an opportunity for someone to take over this coin. The price is very low so you could acquire a substantial amount before you start to develop markets and services. It had a fair launch, is listed on cryptsy and has a working blockchain.

Some ****head took over the the blockchain. No block explorer so its hard to prove. BUT a block being detected exactly every 63 seconds is pretty fishy.... especially since I have had about 20 Rejects in a row. This after successfully solving >99% the last week or so.

We are proud to announce a re-launch of CasinoCoin. We are going to re-brand the coin and re release the coin under CAC. The dev here has given up on this project and after talks with popular exchanges they have to, but we feel this coin has a bright future. Look forward to updates and news regarding the NEW CasinoCoin. (CAC) We have a dedicated team of developers working on a new coin that will actually work with online casinos, 350M coins was simply not enough. The value for online gambling is in the billions of dollars per year. We are talking with some major online casinos who are very interested in the potential of this coin. They will be apart of the beta phase in the next few weeks. A thread will be started for the new casinocoin in the next few days with all the specs when I have them available. This will be no pre-mine. We plan to test various ways of covering the starting house bets during the beta phase. At this point everyone will be available to mine the coin, but will not have access to the exclusive casinos that will be using the coins until us and the casino(s) feel it is stable enough for the public. With this being said we have a BTC/LTC casino launching in the new year that will eventually switch over to CAC. This will be our house casino that you can trust. For updates please visit our website at http://www.CasinoCoin.orgRegards, we look forward to a bright new future! Does this mean the CSC I have now will be void when the new CasinoCoin is released? Is it still safe to buy some on cryptsy?

Is it still safe to buy some on cryptsy? I am also confused on this. Is this person setting up a new coin, stealing the name and logo of this coin and calling it 'CasinoCoin', thus essentially creating two CasinoCoins, or is this person simply re-branding this coin, and promoting the current network behind the current CasinoCoin? Could CasinoCoin please respond to this. I have always loved the idea of casinos having their own currency, and many do in fact. In a number of casinos you have to cash in and out when going in to a casino so you are, in effect, not gambling with 'real money', and it also helps people spend more (apparently). I think if there was a set standard coin for casinos to use then it could be good for us who invested early.

Sad to see this happening. The poster under the name "casinocoin" is not continuing the development of this coin but starting a whole different one with the same name and stolen graphics! I think this will cause confusion and is unnecessary as the original Casinocoin is launched, operational, and traded on Cryptsy.

Sad to see this happening. The poster under the name "casinocoin" is not continuing the development of this coin but starting a whole different one with the same name! I think this would cause confusion and is a terrible idea! I suggest supporters of the original and true CasinoCoin boycott this new coin. If that's the case then I would agree. So there will be two casinocoins on the market? Obviously they would have different symbols but could become confusing. Why not just adopt the current network? and for the record, I have no shares in the current network, so my opinion isn't biased, I just think it would make sense to do so, unless there is a major flaw? (ie not enough/too many coins for your plans etc).

Thank you for the lengthy response and you make a lot of good points in your post. Can I ask how many developers are involved in this project, or is it just you?
I will point my mining machines and promote CAC if there are dedicated developers behind this who see this as a serious project, not a pump and dump, and have seriously contacted a number of casinos who seem interested in the idea and truly understand how it will work.
Again, thanks for the lengthy response.

I understand that you want to create a new coin because you didn't create the specifications for this one but have you considered using a different name?
Betcoin Pokercoin Vegascoin (or just Vegas) SIN (think of some acronym that works) CC (little too close to Casinocoin but it is different) etc....
It is also not out of the question (although harder to get consensus) to modify the specifications of Casinocoin to fit certain needs.....but I would recommend considering a different name.
Even though the original Dev is MIA the coin is actively traded and has recently seen hashing levels of around 80 Mh/s.

Hey ...
to the devs of this:
I have been and still am working in the Online Gaming Industry here in Antigua. If you guys are serious with your plans about this I will be able to activate some Contacts.
Additionally it might be a good Idea to approach the AOGA (Antigua Offshore Gaming Association) and the Gov't. They are mighty pissed about the treatment they got from the US.
PM me

Thanks Dev1. I am impressed with your replies and openness. Instead of a PM maybe you can post your ideas in a thread so the community can vote? Please post a link to the new thread here since people who only track certain threads may not notice it.
If the decision to use Casinocoin as the name is made it would be interesting to see how that develops. I believe it would be the first time a new coin is released with the same name as a current one?

Any specs yet on what the release will look like in 13 days? This coin has great potential if done correctly. Glad to see a re-launch is going down.

Exactly what I am wondering. Are you recruiting devs? Also, please be as open as possible from the start. Or better, before the start. How can we know it's not the same people as behind the original casinocoin? Something of major importance should be to avoid that the coin has to be relaunched a third time so make sure a dev can take over this time if things go wrong. And especially try to improve the website. There are broken links, add some nice 'construction' messages at least and there is still the original 'your projects name' from the template. Certainly does not sound very convincing at the moment.

Will this be scrypt or sha256?
Will there be a announcement before pools are launched and pools set up on launch day? (highly recommended).

I guess it should be clarified that Dev1 is proposing an entirely new coin using the same name but different symbol (CAC).
Nothing will happen to the original Casinocoin (CSC). It will continue operating and trading as it has been. The original is quite healthy with a 60 Mh/s hash rate and active trading on Cryptsy.
Unfortunately the original dev is still MIA so no one is actively seeking development of the coin. If there is someone who is capable of developing a market for the original Casinocoin (CSC) there could be a bright future for it. There is actually quite an opportunity for someone to take over development of the original Casinocoin (CSC).

I should have asked for this sooner, but I need the help of the CasinoCoin community to help push CasinoCoin forward. In the last few months, I suffered through some personal health setbacks that have put my priorities into place, and as a result, I neglected CasinoCoin. In this business, confidence is critical, and my hiatus has eroded the confidence of something that I've built and believe in.
Since the beginning of CasinoCoin, it always has been a one-man show behind the operations, from development to marketing (and even graphics design!), I was the one responsible for all aspects. While that may have been a bit of an ego boost, there's a downside to it of which we have experienced during my hiatus from CasinoCoin. Even though we are dealing with a decentralized currency, it's critical to have the full support of an active developer, and CasinoCoin has suffered in the last few months because of my neglect.
I can't excuse the lack of communication during my hiatus, and I understand why some of you have lost trust in CasinoCoin, and especially trust in myself. One thing that has become fairly clear through this ordeal is that CasinoCoin can no longer be run as a one-man operation. Even though a one-man operation is efficient, it also means there is a single point of failure. For the long term benefit of the currency, we need a team to drive CasinoCoin. I hereby am asking for the help of the CasinoCoin community to take on roles such as developer, marketing, community liason, etc. One of the critical pieces is the GitHub repository containing the CasinoCoin source code. I will be opening this up to contributors so that developers can contribute to the CasinoCoin project without me being the single point of failure.
For those of you that are curious, I still have the same amount of CSC as I did prior to the hiatus (or even a little bit more since my mining rigs had continue to run for awhile). CasinoCoin was never meant to be a pump and dump scheme. In fact, with this new mindset of opening up CasinoCoin in order to spread out responsibility and lower risk due to a single point of failure, I'm willing to give up a stake in the amount of CasinoCoins that I mined fairly during the launch of CasinoCoin to those who would like to join and contribute.
For those of you that are considering the idea of poaching the CasinoCoin name, I'd suggest that you not do so. It will only cause confusion in the marketplace that does not benefit anyone but you. If you are going to go down this route, then consider an entirely new name instead. Else, I hope that you strongly consider joining the CasinoCoin team and help contribute to the longevity of this coin from the ground floor -- you haven't missed the boat yet. Your addition to the team will only help strengthen CasinoCoin and confidence in it.
I'd like to hear your thoughts, both positive and negative. It's time for me to get back to work.

i think it would be good for the coin (CSC/CAC) to have only one team working for the success of it.
having 2 coins with the same objective will even have less trust at Casino's eyes.
Still, i think both teams should keep community informed about what is going to happen.
Turning on CSC forum would be a nice start!
