Welcome to the weekend special of:

Code:
2013-12-07 05:48:13	Bid	3.68818353 [btc] @ 634.87654 = 2341.54 USD
2013-12-07 05:52:54 Bid 3.16972616 [btc] @ 580.42351 = 1839.78 USD

After staying up the entire night to watch the price correction and doing analysis. I found the spot I wanted to place two bid orders.  And it turns out they were good decisions.  Unfortunately when I woke up four hours later to the price @ 840.00/BTC to sell, neither of my bid orders were filled  Angry  Shocked  Cry

The bids in the [code[ tags are copy/pasted directly from my mtgox account and the orders are still open.  According to the charts, there were multiple opportunities for my bids to be filled, and they were simply ignored as if they weren't on the order book.  The trades were perfectly calculated, I had more than enough USD in my account.

This is the first time this has ever happened to me, and quite frankly I am shocked, surprised, dissappointed, and angry.  I even took the time to submit a support ticket, but we'll see how much good that does I guess.

If you take your trading positions seriously, you shouldn't trade at mtgox.  As soon as my identity verification is completed, I am withdrawing all my coins (at a loss  Undecided ) to an exchange that will actually take my business seriously.

I put up with a lot of crap from mtgox for that price difference of theirs, but this is the final straw.  My position was spoiled and I'm now kind of up sh#t creek without a paddle.

In a perfect and ideal world, after reading my support ticket; they would debit me coins from their fee wallet at those prices.  I would be happy if they did that, and it shouldn't be any trouble to them on such a small order, but I'm sure they'll feed me some cookie cutter excuse and tell me to pound sand.

I eventually received a reply back, but it wasn't even considered a valid response in my book.  They explained to me how limit orders and market orders worked, which I already knew  Undecided  Huh  Roll Eyes

The last thing Gox will ever do is make issues like this right.

That being said, it is our choice to use their business or not use them.

I messaged MtGox support about this yesterday and I see this morning my ticket is still awaiting assignment!! So much for being a "market leader".. I still can't believe how many fly-by-night cowboy operations there are in the crypto-currency world.. This has to change if the movement is to succeed globally.

I've since cancelled my buy order and will be transferring all my funds out to a *real* exchange..

What a steaming pile of ______!!!

Why the hell are you even using Gox? It's a sinking ship.

Because I made a bad trade during one of the big crashes, then moved my money there to make up for my losses.

And now I regret it.
