I don't think that the new update will do muck good n the price either. I feel like the developers tried to favor the minres but didn't find a good enough way to protect the price from falling and recreate interest. Merged mining will not atract investor interest, instead powerful miners will jump in and start dumping coins. Makes me even happier I sold @ ~200 sat.

It's not the devs job to create interest for speculators through shiny new technology, their job is to secure the coin and this is a very good solution towards that goal.

Dogecoin is already mined mostly by multipools anyway, so there won't be much more dumping. Plus, this will be balanced by the dogecoin miners who will sell their LTC for doges.

100% agree, no one said the whole AuxPow transition is to increase the price, it's all about adding security and stability.

This was a concern for investors months ago that went unaddressed.

The devs should give what the OP said with the cap @ 100 bil since mining will no longer be a issue.... can't really use that bullshit argument any more, but I'm going to stick with Jackson wants to see it fail for whatever reason.

Only masses of dumb newcomers are making this coin alive. It's only loosing value, market cap, even subscribers in their subreddit, but psssst, you can't talk about it, cause it's FUD truth. ASIC manufacturers have a great business from this, cause many people are convinced to buy them to "save" dogecoin, or something like that.
