I'm holding DOGE since months and they lost almost all their value, I'm sorry but I think I have to sell my millions (worth nothing...).
I could be WAY wrong but I feel part of the reason Dogecoin price is down is due to coin HOLDERS such as yourself. Imagine if ALL Dogecoin was being held...the price would PLUMMET. Instead of spending (NOT SELLING) Dogecoin on physical goods or services, people just hold their coins and watch the price drop. If Dogecoin was being USED more (and not just exchange sell/trade offs either) then there would be a LOT more life in Dogecoin. There are DOZENS of online stores/services that take Dogecoin for payment. If YOU (ANYONE HOLDING DOGECOIN) do not spend your Dogecoin, (even just a little) YOU are helping to bring the price down. Why should the value go up right now? Most Dogecoin fanboys/girls just want to HOLD their Dogecoin in hopes of HITTING it big time. Jeesh People HOLD or CASH out. What good does that do for the Dogecoin community? NOTHING. Gotta CIRCULATE the currency for ANY value to be seen by others. SPEND THAT DOGECOIN. ps-I agree about needing to cap the coin but WE as miners/buyers of Dogecoin can only suggest/recommend that option to the Devs Saving some of your Dogecoin is obviously good too. It will helps people buy bigger things in the future. But only if prices are somewhat stable. Yes it's good to spend Doge but it depends where & how it's spent. The answer is spending Dogecoin on everyday purchases that we do on a regular bases. Then we would need to buy new Dogecoin Frequently which would increase the demand. But its very important on how fast we can purchase Dogecoin. The faster we can convert fiat to Doge the better. This would allow people to buy Dogecoin and use it immediately for things we normal spend fiat on without loosing money from price volatility. Here is one way this is achieved:If store owners & services offered better pricing for their goods and services would help tremendous. Discounts for using Doge! The problem remains:Not enough people are buying Dogecoin. This is Obviously. Currently here is what frequently happens:When an online store accepts Dogecoin for a purchase they generally immediately dump Doge daily for BTC. Then BTC is dumped for Fiat. This effect is also magnified when raising large amounts to charity. Don't get me wrong. I Love supporting Charities but you can't deny the fact that after a major fund raiser like Jamaican Bobsled or NASCAR that most all the those coins get converted back to USD. Those are huge dumps! Multiple that with mulit-pool miners that only want immediate profit. Those are huge daily dumps. Dump after Dump. But the community has done an amazing Job keeping Dogecoin's value this high. I believe it will go back up over time. But many people are in Crypto-currency for short term profits like most businesses. The community using it as a tipping currency has been beneficial since it stays within the eccomony. I know there are a few Dogecoin businesses that love Doge and keep some their coins to use for savings, tipping, and charities. But eventually many coins are dumped for Fiat. This has been a problem for Bitcoin as well. Think about what was the a main contributing factor that caused the 2013 Crash of Bitcoin? 2 words. BLACK FRIDAY. Biggest shopping day of the year. Look at the charts. A big step is when we see more manufacturing and commodity type businesses like farmers who will accept crypto-currencies. But their vendors will also need to accept these Crypto in order to keep it in the eccomony. Keeping the Dogecoin in the eccomony is very important. How we do that is the question everyone should be asking themselves. One important way is that we Dump Fiat for Dogecoin not the other way around. Doge will go back up when the community figures out what they need to do.These were only a few tips. So dogecoin need to be changed to POS to make people to hold and buy. And POS can reduce the power fee to run the system. The power fee is bigger and bigger day by day. Then the most important thing is fixed the POS's problem. After change to POS, inflationary is not a big problem anylonger. Then you have the chance to make dogecoin to be used in shopping. Right now, no one can hold dogecoin to get benifit, No bank will give you dogecoin interest and it is inflationary. Why hold dogecoin, but not USD? So dogecoin don't fit in shopping system now. Shopping more, kill dogecoin more. You must make dogecoin better than USD, then people have the reason to change USD to Doge. The inflationary must lower than USD but not higher. You must treat people as a Economic man but not a fool.

Such a bad decision in my opinion. I would not be surprised if the prize for DOGE will go down when people realize this Why do you say that exactly? From the comments of that post: "Here is the amount added each year for DOGE, BTC and LTC: Dogecoin Bitcoin Litecoin 2015 5.26% 10% 33.33% 2016 5% 9.09% 12.5% 2017 4.76% 4.1% 11.11% 2018 4.54% 4% 10% 2019 4.35% 3.85% 9.09% 2020 4.2% 3.7% 4.1%" Obama: Hey Ben , we have a big problem, we can't pay anyone anymore , we're out of funds Ben: Stay calm , we'll print some more $ Doge fan: If there will be no reward I won't mine anymore Doge creator: Stay calm , we'll just create more coins. See thee path to failure? I warned everyone that an inflationary coin has no future but at that time hundreds of shibes with much economics insight claimed the opposite. Amazing how this turned out. Wow.

I warned everyone that an inflationary coin has no future
Do you mean Bitcoin with its double-digit inflation this and next year? Why are you suddenly so pessimistic about its future? What non-inflationary crypto do you prefer?

Dogecoin's logo can now be used as an icon for Facebook groups! There's only about 50 to choose from, so that's quite surprising.

I warned everyone that an inflationary coin has no future
Do you mean Bitcoin with its double-digit inflation this and next year? Why are you suddenly so pessimistic about its future? What non-inflationary crypto do you prefer? Bitcoin has a target..21 million coins. Doge has another target... unlimited supply. But don't get me wrong. As a currency doge has no future with this numbers. As a fun coin , tipping coin or crowd funding it will never die. Ps. I never was very optimistic about the future. Unlike you.... After the next halvening when block reward becomes 125k and certainly after the next one in June (62.5k block reward) the supply of newly dumped coins will diminish and 85% of all the Doges will be in circulation, that's when the price will start growing. Hence the next 2 weeks will be hard, then it will get easier, and at the end of June significantly easier and 200 satoshi. Wafflepool and other multipools will switch to mining Litecoin exclusively and stop dumping millions of doges. Just hang tight, the bright side is near. Doge will be $0.01 this year.
Look at the graph and tell us what happened at the last reward halving. The hope for doge lies in it community and if it will stay alive during this month of china madness it will recover. But for the first time the community is braking apart I heard that at 60 cents at 50 cents now at 40 cents. Do not underestimate the bears. If more fud comes from china you're going to buy the coins at 10 cents.
Bitcoin went from $1200 to $400, Doge went from 280 to 95, going down in unison, 3 times cheaper now from their peaks, so same logic applies to both - people kept saying bitcoin is a great buy at $800, then at $600, $500. The difference is DOGE is way more undervalued, and hence a bargain. Both Bitcoin and Doge could go down more, but that's fine, catching the exact bottom is tricky. What's more attractive in Doge is its upside potential. However, 10 cents per 1000 doge means Bitcoin will be $100. You think it's feasible? I don't think so. 30 cents, $300 for bitcoin is still possible. 10 cents, $100 for bitcoin means cryptos are dead, never to recover again, and going to zero.Hmmmmm Current price is 16cents....

Yeah, but before that target of 21 million is reached, it's going to inflate a lot. While Doge will already be inflating less than others before the end of this year. I admit I was too optimistic about Dogecoin's short-term future. I still believe Dogecoin can hit $0.01, but not this year. We learn all the time and it's wisdom to maintain a balanced view on things, and I have rebalanced mine in the past 2-3 months, hopefully gained a bit more wisdom than in April

When it comes to doge... The thing i hate most about it is that even if inflation was a bad move , it has come unexpected. Basically the coin was designed so from the start the dev realized it after two months and just embraced the idea This is not good for any coin that tries to conquer the world. That's why bitcoin is not changing , there are no hard forks no nothing to change the block , distribution , algo. People want stability.

Btw with the massive amount of new coins everyday many of his investors changed market where invest. Now it's quite clear.

Anyone that can give me a brief explanation about what happened to doge?
Some months ago 9 out of 10 threads in this forum were about doge... Has it completed the pump and dump cycle or is it something else... It's a shame if it is dead because although i 'm not into alt coins the community of this one was standing above the rest...

Yes , but that has been already taken into account by the markets.People always talk about the 21mils bitcoin not about the current mined ones.
But miners sell coins each day nonetheless, 3600 new Bitcoins are mined each day, that's a lot of selling pressure, so we can't really say the markets have already taken 21 million into account. The market is in sort of equilibrium now, bouncing in the 550-650 range, but it's going to take a lot more capital injections to move it higher. As for Doge - there are reasons to believe it has finally hit its rock bottom and the downside is limited (20 satoshi might be the lowest low), it only takes very few bitcoins to support daily production of doges and that number will be going down quickly, to a negligible amount. Anyone that can give me a brief explanation about what happened to doge?

It's not dead, developers are quite active building some infrastructure around it. Doge quickened the inflation period and naturally hit the bottom of price correction faster than other coins (Litecoin closely following). All cryptos are pump-n-dumps and some go thru pump-n-dumps a few times in their lifetime. What matters is which of them rise after dumps and which go to oblivion.

It still has the most active & diversified altcoin communities. People on Bitcointalk don't seem to get. Probably because they are too serious about numbers, charts and making money. I support both Bitcoin & Dogecoin because they both have important rolls to play inside & out the Crypto-community world.

Well, it might have a future again soon with inflation being out of the picture, along with low price and overall cap giving it the "potential" to go up again. I think it will. DOGE has brand recognition and got too big to not make another run again, imo. But right now the entire crypto market is looking bad, and as long as BTC is heading down, it's going to further pull coins like DOGE and LTC down with it. But, if history does repeat itself, the next bottom will be the time to go all in on crypto (whatever you can afford to lose). Either we lose it at all after that or be very happy a few months later.
