Shopping is awesome for Dogecoin, when buying things from other users who keep the coins. This is most likely the case in dogecoin-related sites like suchlist.com. Of course it's even better if the buyer buys back the same amount of coins after the transaction.

However, all kind of shopping is good for Dogecoin, since it gives reasons for business to accept it, and that gives visibility and credibility for the coin and its community.

It pumps USD out of the market every year. Can you get enough new buyers to pay this fee every year?
