EDIT: Sorry, we are no longer accepting PayPal. Paypal destroys all that it touches and may have just done just that. More info later.
Shades Minoco - A different type of mining company
BTC transactions on hold - Our processor BitcoinExchange.CC has screwed us over once again. I will let people know when BTC will be acceptable again. In the meantime, I strongly urge people not to use BitcoinExchange.cc as they cannot be trusted to perform their promised duties.

I would like to take this time to thank all past clients of mine who have been with me from the very beginning. Your continued support has allowed my network to grow beyond my wildest dreams and I truely have to thank you for any success that I have.

With that said. I would also like to take this time to introduce a new joint mining contract company between long time forum member deslock and my self. We call ourselves.....

Shades Minoco

Why Shades Minoco? Well SHAkaru DESlock MINe Op COmpany. That and it sounded cool.

Now on to the fun stuff. We here are Shades Minoco offer a wide variety of mid to long term mining contracts far below the competition in cost, yet well above them uptime and customer service. Take a look at our pricing chart below and see the savings you could have with one of our mining contracts.

                     6Month   9 Month     1 Year
Speed

500mhs        N/A         N/A            $650

1000mhs      $600      $800          $1000

2000+ mhs   $750      $1250usd   $1500usd (Overflow included)

8/16/2011 EDIT: OVERFLOW SOLD
- NY and Seattle locations with overflow to bet setup shortly. Check back for more details

(Overflow is where any available spare hashing power is pointed to your miners. Overflow speeds mary vary depending on daily conditions. 1 contract with overflow will be sold)

Larger capacity available. Pm for a quote.

Now accepting paypal! (O.A.C)

Here is a quick compile of mining contract providers put together by McLovin.
http://bit-coin-trading.com/forum/index.php?topic=128.0

Quick Mining Contract FAQ

Q:Are mining contracts expensive?
A:Expensive is a relative term. For someome who has available PCIe slots and hardware, a mining contract may not be the most economical option for you. But for someone who has no Motherboard/PSU/HardDisk/GPU/Ram/CPU on hand or does not want to see their power bill spike, a mining contract is an great economical value.

Q:Where are the 3 month contracts?
A:At Shades Minoco, we do not offer a contract less than 6mo at a time.
If you look at the following link put together by McLovin, http://bit-coin-trading.com/forum/index.php?topic=128.0 , a 3 month 2ghs contract from our competitors will cost you between $900-975 for 3 months. We offer a 6 mo for less that that in total. So that is why.

Q:What payment options do you accept?
A:Currently we accept the following ONLY.
  • BTC (preferred)
  • Western Union
  • Cash/MoneyOrder (In person ONLY)
  • Paypal (Personal/Gift)
You may ask about alternate payment methods, but will most likely be denied.

Q:What is to stop you from turning off the miners after a few days and running with the money I payed you?
A:History and Experience. Between myself and deslock, we have over 1000 forum post in all parts of the forum, as well as great numbers of positive feedback from other traders and forum members alike.

Q:I woke up and all the miners have not been on all night?! What gives?!
A:LIES!!! Well, maybe not lies, but highly unlikely. We have an East Coast / West Coast thing going on here. If all your miners were off at one time, then by some act of god we have been both struck down thousands of miles apart at the same moment.

Q:Are you my daddy?
A:No.

Q:I payed for 1000mhs but deepbit says I am only getting 800mhs? Whats up?
A:Pools calculate your speed based on submitted shares. Sometimes the speed shows up higher or lower depending on luck in finding shares. But who would complain if the pool says they are getting 1200mhs anyways?

Q:A train leaving Seattle at 9:13pm PST is traveling eastbound at 75mph heading to New York. A second train leaving Vancouver heading west at aprox 60mph is set to depart at 8:30pm EST. At what point and time will the two trains pass each other?
A:At the point where you need to stop doing silly word equations and pick up a globe to pass geography.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via this forum. I would be glad to answer any of your questions.

I can see the prices are very good (after working things out) but does anyone here have experience with this merchant?
Is this merchant reputable? Is the service good?Is the pricing competitive with all other services? Is this merchant open to negotiation regarding price and contract duration as well as payment methods (other than bitcoin)?

Thank you

bou707 - 1year/1ghs Contract

I have also traded successfully with TwoBits, Tunatime, Whirlpool, Distribution,
lemongingerm, herbertfilby and bou707. Not to mention that Deslock is my partner on these contracts.

For payment options, we do accept other methods, but you must pm with what option you would like and we can see if that is acceptable.

Hi,

Would you offer 2 Ghash/s for 3 months, for $375?
6 months is a bit of a long period (who knows how will bitcoin look in two weeks? Tongue), that's a bit too risky to me, but I like your rates and if everthing would go fine I would happily buy another 3 months after that.

P.S. Payment for the contract is paid upfront or monthly? I must admit that monthly would be a lot more convincing to me. ;-)

Signature space available for rent.

I'd like a 2GHash/s for 3 months contract as well as I wish to sample the services, also I'd like to start using a competively priced mining contract to supplement my mining abilities as well (400MHash/s on Radeon HD6950,I can't expand due to PSU/heat/budget limitations.)

Can payment be taken by MoneyBookers? I don't like PayPal's practices of what they do to sellers (which is let buyers file fraudlent chargebacks easilyand leaving the seller out of pocket and buyer keeps the product).I'd also like to show an interest in this service if the 3 months suggestion for 2GHash/s can be met? If hte length can't be less than 6 months that a discount can be applied for me as I'd be a first time buyer.

Thank you

Hi,

Would you offer 2 Ghash/s for 3 months, for $375?
Nope. People are buying years at a time. Why would I do that
Quote
6 months is a bit of a long period (who knows how will bitcoin look in two weeks? Tongue), that's a bit too risky to me, but I like your rates and if everthing would go fine I would happily buy another 3 months after that.

P.S. Payment for the contract is paid upfront or monthly? I must admit that monthly would be a lot more convincing to me. ;-)
Upfront payment only.

Moneybrokers? Nope. If you do not like paypal, you can use btc. Or Western Union.
Min contract is 6mo. Waiting list is 5 people deep with approx 2 month wait for more space that is not 2ghs that could go as long as 6 months.
2000 contracts can always be bought and activated within 48 hours (In the event of a further delay, you will be notified during setup and before payment.)
[/quote]

Its not that I want to be a dick, but I already an selling these contracts at the lowest price possible. If you look at the pricing, the % diff between my services and the next leading competitor is 900 for 2ghs for 3 months. You do notice that, yes?

How about 2 Ghash/s for 3 months, not for $375, which exavtly half of a 6 month contract would cost, but for, let's say $410?

Yes, we notice that, but 6 months is a heck of a time, I could pay a bit more, but for a shorter amount of time.
You also did not mention what uptime can you guarantee.

P.S. Just sent you a PM.

No. There are many other mining contract providers out there. Try them, I cannot help you.

Allow me to apologize and introduce myself I'm Deslok the eastern half of Shades.  After some discussion, we have decided to allow groups of people to purchase 2000+ contracts and divide them how they see fit. All you need to do is pool your funds, send us the worker info and presto!

I notice that the pricing is very competitive at the moment but I still expect a little extra discount since you'll effectively lock me into a 6mth contract for 2GHash/s.Is there a reason why you don't accept other payment methods? The ability to accept multiple payment methods without a fuss makes you a more attractive merchant to people like me and to others in business when negotiating contracts for important services.

I'd like to show an interest in the 2GHash/s for no more than 6 months. Can you provide anything larger than 2GHash/s no contract (as I'll be paying u large sums of money just for the extra power,I expect not to be locked in at all if this is the case,if I choose your services)

Can a trial of services be used before paying? As I wish to make sure that the workers (miners) can access my pool properly e.t.c

Dude. No. My space is full up. I will bring more online if you buy a contract listed above? You don't want a full term? Sell it to someone else? Find a buddy and split it. In fact, I'll make an exception.

This is actually the first contract we sold *tear*. Works like any other. Solid single rig with 6x5830's SCREAMING at 330 plus a dinker or two as I like to call them helping along the way. You agree to contract and send payment. Then with no later than 48hours we have a rig setup with yours and just your hardware humming along.

Let me know if you are interested.

Solid single rig with 6x5830's SCREAMING at 330 plus a dinker or two as I like to call them helping along the way.

I have a question. What happens if your rig or one of the cards fry? Would replace it with a new one? What about smaller (or none) hash power for some time until hardware is repaired/replaced? Or does that mean the contract is extended for the number of days/hours that took to repair/replace the hardware? You did not mention that anywhere and I believe you should take it into consideration when renting rigs for such a long time.

Signature space available for rent.

i'm guessing it would be replaced asap and your contract would be extended if the replacement card was not readily available

He said it best. I live within 5 min of a Frys electronics. I have spare cards (or as Deslock says, "There is no such thing as a spare gpu. Just a gpu without a home yet." So if one frys, it will be back up asap. Worst case though, contract gets put on pause for a day or so if it is a extreme failure.

Well, that I am not sure about and would have to think no? I mean, I used paypal as a processor and I don't think they would allow that. Not to mention that if they did, you would pay the fee 3x. I would suggest that in your case, that you try to obtain BTC as your traded currency by what ever means you find to your liking and then approach for a contract.

Do you still have a wait list for the 2 gh/s contracts? How do you not loose money on this?? Just the electricity alone has got to be like 90$/mo.

The only time I'd consider this is if it were pay per month.  It's too good to be true otherwise, the maths doesn't add up.

Wait list may be a moment. Right now I have 10ghs running and little to no power left. In a few week I will be moving to a new location and can bring more online. Even if I bring on enough to clear out the list, it will be a moment before I can bring any more online.
FYI: If we sell 1200 more shares. I will be able to bring online 6ghs more right away and also will no longer have the 48 hour setup time.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=37981.0
Check out the link. Shares can be redeemed for contracts. Read for more info.

As far as power cost go. Its actually not that bad when you dont pay for most of it.

problems resolved. Currently expanding our operation once more.
We will start taking preorders with set launch dates now for all contracts. This will provide faster access to our products as we can procure vital hardware at discount prices. PM for more info or email at Shakaru@ShadesMinoco.com
Also, due to a Hurricane, NY is browning out. If you have a contract hosted in NY from us, you will recive 1.5 hours per every hour you are offline.

I bought one of the 2Ghs contracts last week and just wanted to post about my experiences after the first week.

I am very pleased so far with everything. The company seems to be run by people who know what they are doing. I had some special requests for my contract and this was handled very well. When there have been some small problems I feel I have been compensated more than fairly. Shakaru has provided me with instant support through Skype which has been great. So far I can highly recommend these contracts to others.

This guy is a liar and a thief.

We made a deal, where I mailed him 3 brand new radeons, and he was to put them in a machine and give me the hashes for all three for a few months, then he gets one and I get two from then on.

Weeks passes with excuse after excuse.

I got a few days tops of hashes.

Everything has ceased and all polite communications (PMs on this forum where he is very busy) have gone completely ignored.

I have been completely ripped off.

DO NOT give this person your money or trust, he is a thief and a liar and is not to believed.

Yes this was alot of miscomunitcation on my part and also my failure to follow up due to both real world issues and pure arrogance. Pasian did send me 4 of this cards in exchange that 3 of them be run for 2-3 months for him. He thought this was acceptable. After a few weeks I went to check on the miners and watched one go dead and then had the whole rig drop. My home made 6pin y connector was fried along with the 1-16x adapter, and 1 16x lane and both the cards in it.
I have been seeing Mr. Pasians messages and unfortinately pass them by to come back to as I was dealing with time sensitive matters relating to my work here. I have already replied to Mr Pasian over this issue and have offered him a 6 month contract (3x the lenght of the origonal) in order to make this right. As you can see in the Shades Minoco mining post, Bitsinmyhead had a late start due to over heating issues, and I commpensated him with 1.5 time without a request for it.
I do admit I handled this situation poorly, but fully intend to right in a way that Mr. Paisan feels is acceptable.

It seems that some bad stuff went down in your personal life as well. Sorry to hear that. I'll accept that offer of 6 months, and consider the issue resolved if you deliver.

I thank you very much for your understanding. I will contact you in the morning for details. Desloc and I spoke earlier today about it and are moving some hardware around to compensate.

Are the 6 mth 2GHash/s contracts still available? What payment methods can you take?At present I can do moneybookers (for security reasosns),however I am open to negotiation (as long as it's not PayPal) on payment methods.

Is is possible to offer 4GHash/s for 3 months for me if needed?

Thanks

So-Cal power out caused a breif disturbance in our output, but systems are starting to return online now. Made a few upgrades such as the creation of a 3 board, 18 card monster called Magi (First to figure out the refence and post correct answer gets 1btc).

6 rigs are still sitting in boxes with plans for tomorrow to get 3 online now that I know how to build the chasis quick and cheaply. Also found an way to get the power consumption down to 800w per 2ghs. Still working on getting the extra 40mhs I should be getting out if these cards without stability issues. Just a matter of creating a card specific profile and about 8 rigs are finished with that right now. Also hired some temp help around the place to help with rig construction and preforming the rounds during elevated daytime tempatures.

That is the SDM update report, we now return you back to your regularly schedualed programing.

Runs at 6020mhs right now. During luck it runs at 6400. Slowly over time I am phasing out the 5830s with 5870s. Should get me at 8-9ghs then. The current max speed of the garage is 22ghs (my friend swears it said 24ghs one day, I missed it) and once I get my 2 new 40amp lines in a matter of days, I will be around 30-35ghs and there is talks to bring online a new location too.

Operating at temporary speeds. While installing kvms on the machines in this location, one of the rigs caught fire. No joke. Sparks at first and then flame. Looks like the mobo to some good damage and have to test the cards 1 by 1 to see what happen to them. Result, everything is going into the bench cases. Nothing fell into the rig or was anyone near it, but with them in cases, they are constrained to 4 cards only and get good speeds that way.
Also. I need to hire someone for a few days to help with a setup and resolving some issues here. Will pay in btc or paypal. Need someone in the Southern California area, near LAX if you want to be local.
AND, buying psus. send pms.

Update for s@$%s n' giggles. So the motherboard that tried to kill me is offline, but. I tried it out for the hell of it, still works! There is a giant frame now where one was a chip below the cmos battery and above the pci slot on an msh 890fxa-gd70 and it will still mine for 5 cards with the first 16x slot out for issues.

Just gonna throw up a bump for shakaru, known him since the early days and he's a great guy. I used to sell mining contracts and the management can be a real handful so nice to see someone else taking it on.

Thank you! I figured now is a good time to mention that I have a physical store for Shades Minoco located in Lawndale CA at the crossroads of Redondo/Torrance/Lawndale. I will post the exact address once I have everything set up and running. I will also have a small exchange setup in place and some other bitcoin related features.

Also in other #JustForTheHellOfItNews, had a Coolmaster 750w blow out in face last night. I dont know what exactly happend, but the running light went off and as I leaned in, POP! Nice little shock with it. So stay away from Coolmaster psus. So far on the good end of the psu spectrum, Antec 900w is kicking but, Thermaltake RX2 750s in dual mode work awsome to despite some beliefs among staff. Im moving over to 360w 12v psus now for running the cards and finding that this is the best solution. The wiring is a pain but with some crimping gear, it is no problem.

Thats all for whats going on here at SDM. Now to hit the bar as its FRIDAY NIGHT!

UPDATE:
All clients using Deepbit.net without a failover pool are being tossed onto arsbitcoin while the deepbit issues are being dealt with by Tycho and his people. Daily payouts will be issued each morning around 9am PST until the pool has been restored.
I would suggest to all of you that only have deepbit setup as your pool that you open up other miner accounts for backup as soon as possible.

So I come back from dinner tonight and pass by my office and see 4 fire trucks and think the worst......
but it was the autoshop next door that was on fire and not my equipment. Everything at the SDM west facility is offline at the moment and will spark the move to the data center in Arcadia this week as a result. I will in the morning try to pull my desk pc from the office and contact all affected SDM clients.
Outage will be very short as we were planing on moving things next week, but this will just force our hands to move faster.
Thank you for your understanding and remember...when you take a day off from your autoshop, turn off your coffee maker.

Already made the call, expecting a call back in the morning.

Edit: So for the update, it will be atleast 48 hours until everything is fully up and running. I have my home filled to the max with equipment and 4u racks going to two other homes for the mean time. Looks like the sudden power cut due to melting wires didnt damage anything of importance but just a 775 server we run for testing this proxy we are developing for hashrate disbursement.

I spoke with a few people today about hosting a few of the 25u racks I am building right now and things are looking good to have a full deployment of SDM machines in a datacenter very soon. I will update with details to that as they develop.

I also am looking for any such offers or hosting partnerships in the LA area. If you have a datacenter or other type of location and would like to lease out space, let me know as I am entertaining offers.

To answer some questions I got via pm.
The 4u cases I am using are from a company called AerroMax or something like that. They are inexpensive, have 7 card slots and a huge interior. With slight modification they can hold 3 dual cards and one xfx 5770 that has its heatsink protruding from the side and allowing for great airflow. The rigs run in series of their like cards (5830s+5770, 5850s+5770,5870+5770,5970s+5770)

Anyways, I must eat. Have your selfs a good night and I will anouce shortly when we will be taking in new contracts, offering mergedmining and also soon to offer Prime Factorization Prize minig and other great return opertunities from SDM.

We are currently working with a few pool admis to resolve the connection issues for our clients workers. If you have not submited a failover pool worker info to us, I suggest you do so asap as this would keep you mining away while these issues are resolved.

Although every effort is being taken to minimize downtime and contracts are being rotated to prevent service interruption both shakaru and I are relocating, in the event that something goes awry please message either shakaru or I so we are aware of who's contract was offline in the event we are not already aware.

I payed my one year contract in August.
got a refund in september for an estimation of the BTC I should have mined in that month.
No news from that day.
I just want to ask this company to be serious and answer me.

i am envious that you at least received a month's refund.

i paid over 1800 btc for 20GH/s on Sep 20 and was told it would take 14-21 days to get it all online.

well it's been over 2 and half months now and i've so far only received back a few piddly cents.

with the low difficulty numbers we've been having, 20 GH/s should have earned at least 600 btc over this time, but probably much more.

i think i have been extremely patient during the whole ordeal, but i am honestly really disappointed.

That is the reason why we are not expanding or taking in any more clients. At the end of the contracts, I will be selling the remainder of the hardware and close up shop. Keeping the equipment online in one place is just way to hard.

Payb.tc, like I said in our pms, I will call you either today or tomorrow. Also, you will get every btc you earned. Just because the hardware is off, does not mean I will not give you the coins you earned while we move.

Send me your btc address again, so I can see which months the auto payment worked and I will bring you up to speed. Sorry for the delay in response. If anyone need to get ahold me me, send an email to Shakaru@shadesminoco.com as it is easier to track than when a new PM comes in.

Edit. Desloc and I have been quiet about one MrBashFood (thats Jons forum name right? beign payed, given hardware and assistance to run a good portion of the farm before running with the money after a week. Secondly, as many of you know, user WiseOlOwl used to run BitBux exhange and also lived close to me. After many sucessful cash for coin transactions, the last one he took off with along with taking an order for printing canvas from Desloc and hardware for me that has never shown up.

Secondly. Early last month at the compleation of a contract, Paypal allowed someone to claim they never even heard of us and that someone had gained access to their account and charge a large service contract. At the end of the ordeal, we are left footing the bill. I dont want to toss out the number lost, but it is over 5000usd.

So basically after almost 6 months, I am having to use my own assets to keep the btc output of the contract as promised. Its not the worst situation in the world, but at this point, I was hoping to have some profit and my hardware, not paying off paypal.

Anyways. All curent SDM contracts will finish out with every btc they are owed and before the end of the contract. Email me at the above link for questions.

Not in the way it was running. There just becomes a max ammount of hardware you can maintain. SDM will still opperate, and hey, if a rack runs smooth, I will let the contact holder just foot the power bill once we are done and they can run that machine into the ground.
Im still figuring out how to do this without to much disruption to power.

Man, I had no idea of this !@#$ that you guys have been going through, tough times. If you feel like running these contracts is more trouble than it's worth, I'd be open to a cancellation (or say a downgrade in hash/sec) with a pro-rated refund of the initial charges. You don't have to feel obligated to run my contract to completion if you're going to shut down operations after that anyway.

Sounds like you should have used bitcoins to take payment rather than paypal. Perhaps we can all learn a lesson from this: use bitcoin more.

For the guy who scammed you, I guess it is hard when you already have a relationship, but maybe you should look into using an escrow service when buying a large order using bitcoins?

Im still exactly looking into what went on. He had done great work in the past and drove 35 min to make in person transactions. Desloc never got his canvas and I do not know if he is in actual recuipt of the btc as no contact has been made in a long time. I just assume.

As far as Paypal, up until this, they had been great. Our very first paypal contract got held while they made sure he made the purchase and in 24 hours the funds were released and I got great assistance from paypal on how to handle these transactions. I had explained our work to them and they understood the concept of subscription bassed server rentals for processing power. The problem that caused the issue is that the scammer claims he never even heard of us or bitcoin and that this was a stolen paypal account.

Just to make sure everyone is clear. We are not stoping opperation. There are still contracts to finish, and even some to start so there will be alot more of Shades Minoco. One of the things that is happening is that alot of our hardware was 5830s and thus why I am selling them to buy 5970s to make managing this cluster a bit easier than that many 5830s.

Shares? I ordered a 6 month contract in late August, shakaru was unable to deliver it so I decided to end it, got most of the money back, except $200, I know he got scammed and has some financial problems now, but I've been waiting SO long now and really want to get it back!

On 12/22 the elcritcal pannel work will be started and hopefully done in one day. After that, its only a matter of unboxing the packaged hardware and firing up the racked rig.
As the 5970s are rolling through the door, they are beign placed into the 4u racks, but with 20amps right now, I cannot fire them up to stress test.

I dont want to be giving any dates untill the electrical is up to code and I can launch the hardware again. Thursday should really give me a good idea.

Once you get the rigs up and running, are you going to go back to how it was before everything blew up, where you pointed the miner at a pool and I went and retrieved the coins from said pool?

Im just going to speak with all the contract holders and see what works best for them. Because I am not going to renew contrats or accept new ones, I can change my model a good bit. A few smaller contracts were just paid out in the remaining btc that was owed. The larger ones will still run most likely. I think after christmas we will be at that stage to figure things out.

A few smaller contracts were just paid out in the remaining btc that was owed.

why are you paying some people and not others? that hardly seems fair at all... shouldn't you be distributing available coins evenly? you've got 8 decimal places to play with.

still feeling like i'm last on your list...

your not last on my list, just the biggest. And the reasons why some are beign payed and not others is due to closing out their contracts not payment output.

2012 Update

SDM #1 has power.....sorta
240v upgrade has been installed with the new power box installed. The existing 110v line that is coming into the building is still providing power until So-Cal Edison comes out to replace the line and connect the meter. This should be this week after the holiday. After that, the relaunch of GPU hardware will start off in stages to prevent damage to the system from extreams in operating enviroment due to a sudden launch of the hardware.

The 5970 upgrade is going very well along with the new gpus that I have been adding to the system.

The current plans for SDM is to be 60% FPGA tech by July. With ButterflyLabs Bitforce units and RigBox looking to be the real deal, calculations and discusions are started up and if all goes well, SDM will have a 50ghs FPGA box by then middle of the year.

There is alot more I wish to share, but I do not want to do so until there are certain factors that have been worked out. One thing for sure is that 2012 will be the year of the Bitcoin, or atleast I wil do what I can to help the network gain acceptance and use. If that means that I provide help, services and anything else i can to the community to help that happen, I will be glad to do what ever I can.

P-l-e-a-s-e BE careful with them as they haven't been entirely honest with everyone so as not to get scammed again.

Personally I would wait till at least a few other forum members report everything is fine, but even then - standard 6 month warranty doesn't sound too good.

P.S. sent you an e-mail.

Ive been thinking about that all night. In the event that I do not wake up some morning, I am arranging to have the hardware liquidated and everything taking care off. I have a few people here that will help with that and understand the buisness enough to handle an even like that.

How old are you ?

How likely is it that something bad will happen ?

Let us know more about your condition so we can be prepared etc.

Thanks !

Likely? Unknown untill I see the oncologist on the 11th.
Still dont know everything yet, but I am also a type 1 diabetic so that may complicate things a bit.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds pretty serious. Hopefully you can still manage the business and won't disappear with the $$$ like others before that got ran over by a bus, captured by hijackers in a plane, hacked by security analyst etc. and all those stories for children.

Got an update?

It would be great if you could just post a weekly update in here. Communication is key.

Hoping you got a good report on the 11th...

Engh, the report is as good as it could be, but its never the end of the world..

We have power here. And slowly the logistics issues are beign handled and corrected and the 4u racks are slowly coming back in. I am firing them up kinda slowly as I found the 5830s (sapphires only) fans almost all are seized up and I have had to lube them with li grease. Ontop of that, most of the 5770s have to go in for RMA as they are almost all but the exception of 3, running with slow fans or high temps while idleing.
Things are coming back together but slowly. Im trying to see about getting some of the guys here this weekend to help me out with the physical work.

I'm in the same situation as you. It is difficult to raise a response from Shakaru; he would not respond to my emails for nearly a month, only after I contacted him via a PM on this forum did I get one. Even then it's just excuses, revolving around how exchanges have locked up his funds or how his facilities are about to go online. I am starting to not care if it's the truth or not; moreover whether he is capable of running this organization.

I bought my contract in late August last year and my 'rig' has still not been activated. We did come to an agreement that a counter would go up on the 25th of September, which it did. But, I have only received 35 bitcoins over the course of this. Now I am owed around 150 bitcoins. With this number only increasing, I see a dwindling chance of getting my money back. I'm now going to force this issue and stop playing Mr. Patient. It is time to pay up!

The reason I bought a contract is so that I did not have to deal with the headaches of mining..... I am wholly disappointed in this company. More to come.

Similar experience.
Bought a contract at more or less the same time (August 28th) but lost patience after 6 weeks of waiting and decided to end it.
Got most of the money back in October but have since been waiting for the missing $200........................

Can you at least get to spell my forum nickname correctly?

How did the weekend go? Up and running?

From a quick glance over this thread, looks like you have 5-7 contracts that need to be started/finished. I'm concerned that as your rigs come online 'slowly', I may still have a long wait in the cue. Can you address this?

Engh, the report is as good as it could be, but its never the end of the world..

The biggest problem that we have is that alot of the hardware needs to be rma'd to bring it back to running state. There are cost also involved with that and I will have to pocket that expense.  One way I am trying to expedite this process is by selling some various non mining pcs as well as restarted up my computer service and sales again.
I have alot of empty pcie realeastate right now as I work with the cards. as far as getting you online and place in cue. Im going to try to bring everyone back online slowly in stages and not really contract by contract if at all possible. This would also be most effective as the cards once sent out, will come back at random intervals.

The other huge obsticle is that I had purchased many 5770s from (searches memory) crazyblane I think? Now its not his fault, but all of thoese cards have faild running stock with massive 130cfm fans in the rack enclosure. All thoese cards are XFX and they are working with me to rma the cards, but once again, not entirely free and I am still waiting on the holiday weekend to follow up with them.

One more thing while I am here before I get back to work on a clients computer. If anyone has any info on the following user, mrbashfu, or Jonathan Nygun? (not so sure on the last name) please contact me. Jonathan has run with both our hardware, and payment for services that he did not provide. I know he lives in Riverside or Redlands, California, claimed to have been a student, and sold some vouchers to some of you. Would love to get my hands on him.

Yes that is the case, I am in talks with Payb.tc about it. The issues is not the size of the contract, is a matter or the hardware assinged was delivered unoperable and we are still dealing with that right now. Also, 1/4th the contract was to be handled by mrbashfu when he was joining us. However, he only turned on 2/3rd of the hardware he was trusted with and now cannot be found. Right after I had to repeatidly contact him via skype and phone as to where the other hashes were, they stoped and he told Deslok and I that he had a fire? The reason I ask that as a question was that I asked to see the damage and that he could not, then the hardware was ok and it was just smoke from something, and that he would have it online in 48 hours. He never was heard from after that.
Also, ProjectTeraformAlpha (Nick somenameinmyemail) had been selling rigs on here and localy in LA. Delsok and I purchased 1, then 3, and then when all was going well, 8 more. When the other 8 was to come, we had started to find some hidden damage on the psus and one of the boards, so nick offered to drop offer everything, rma the equipment that was faulty and get it back to us in 2 days time. When I started putting all togethe, we were short several psus, severly under wattage on the others, missing and damged 5830s, and Ill have to ask Deslok, but there was something else. OH YEAH! there was no way these things ran at the speeds he had said. the one that was sent to deslok still cantrun 1 gpu and had problems from the get go.

Our growth was healthy, especially because we were not taking new contracts at that time until the current round has come to compleation.

i'm not saying things aren't tough, but despite all those challenges i can't help but think if i'd been sent just 1 bitcoin a day (which for most of the time was only worth $2-3), i'd be at least 90 btc better off right now. the key to paying off (non-interest-bearing) debt is definitely to not be overwhelmed by the total amount and just at least pay in small spare-change increments whenever they come available. i'd much rather see you chip away at it 0.01 btc at a time than see absolutely no changes... that goes for your other creditors too.

incoming transactions no matter how small, speak louder than words!

anyway, keep at it... as i told you on skype, i see you're the kind of guy that just doesn't give up, so i'm sure you'll be on top of things one day.

How goes it with the RMAs? Anything ready to start mining?  Are we days away? weeks? months?

Info: I have a 6 month lease and I'm a shareholder. Leased Rig was due to be online November 2nd (1st?). I have received zero return on the leased rig.

The biggest problem that we have is that alot of the hardware needs to be rma'd to bring it back to running state. Also, we are considering a partnership op in the near future to expand and offer 100% uptime contract as well as new services. We are  holding back on that right now as we are waiting to see what will happen with BFL Bitforce units.

Andrew,

Need an update... having to chase you down for the status of our deal is getting tiresome.

On the January 24th you said days or perhaps a week away and that you would keep me updated...

Today is a week with no word. Normally, I would allow a few extra days but your endless string of excuses are unacceptable.

Reading back through this thread, you have many undelivered contracts. Today, I learn of another that is not posted to this thread. Perhaps it is time for an open public 'roll call' of those you have yet to deliver on?

People here (I) have been very patient and you seem to have the support of some respected members of this forum so you have been given more than ample opportunity and definitely provided more leeway than should be reasonably expected.

The bottom line is: When will you deliver? Please, no excuses. Enough is enough.

Info: I am a shareholder and have a 6 month 6 gh/s lease with Andrew that was due to start on November 1st (2nd) - I have thus far received 0 from this contract.

Am and doing everything in my power to get this hardware back to its running condition. At the moment I have a large amount of GPUs that I am still waiting to return from RMA. I have also had revived contact from Msbashfu regarding repayment, but seems like I wont be seeing my hardware anytime soon.
I know the delay sucks and Im doing everything I can to bring it online asap. This is all quite frustrating as I have shells of machines sitting here waiting to turn back on, and cant do anything about it. When the cards get back, we will be good, but I also have asked that anyone in the LA area who wants to make a few bitcoins and can help me reinstall everything to message me as I cannot get all this backup on my own.

UPDATE:

GPUmax will be providing the power for the contracts!

First, I would like to thank pirateat40 for this amazing offer. As I told him on IRC, I woke this morning to more stress and when I pressed refresh, saw a new message and my heart sank. But, Pirteat40 came out of left field and I honestly am still shaking from pure shock at the generosity.

Details are being worked out right now, but outstanding contracts will be compeated FAST.

Quote
its going to be share based on the formula GH/s by 20116.5676116943359375 per day.

Right from the horses mouth on that one.

So, if you own a SDM contract, message me your worker deatils so I dont have to drive across LA to get them and stay tuned as SDM get ready to turn into an angry bit-hashing monster once again!

Also. GPumax is the #1 provider of share based contract mining. For all your mining needs, goto GPumax, When we are open again for new contracts, thats where SDM will be.

Sounds like a plan. GPUmax can deliver some pretty serious hashing power.

"Working out the details" - Is this hours, days or weeks away?

The bottom line is: When will you deliver? Please, no excuses. Enough is enough.

The answer is NEVER!
I payed my contract so far ago, in August 2011, received a few BTC in September and then nothing,
always delayed, I'm trying to get a refund since then because I don't want anymore this contract (that I never had)

But this smart guy keeps delaying week by week always for some weird problems..
is it so difficult to refund mine 64BTC? does it take more than EIGHT months?

I have proofs of what I'm saying I can post screenshot of every message.

Please check your PM inbox. I had responded to you previously about your btc address.

EDIT: My bad, I saw your replied. Pm sent.

Second Edit: I am not saying we dont have opperational problems....because well we do. But for a little bit now we have suspended any new clients, repaeing/rebuilding hardware and pouring what ever capital I have left back into the repairs.
I do have need for the following if anyone is willing to assist.

Someone with experience with Asus and their RMA dept ( Im getting a load of issues getting them to take back some boards that died out)
Spare 5830 replacement fans
And some other skill I cant remember. Pm me for more info.

I've been in talks with Shakaru on working out a solution, but it seems that there is more to this picture than I was originally lead to believe.  Not that Shakaru did anything wrong, just some details that I was not aware of until we started gathering the facts.  Until an agreement is set, I'm afraid the waiting game will continue.

in all fairness if proceeds were equally distributed to us clients, a sale of a $200 item would only yield you $4.

As of right now, I am expecting about $1400 in sales and services for this month that I am going to be putting back into SDM. At this point, I have given up on keeping my home working my self to the bone to keep this venture alive.

BTW: Anyone looking for webservers (physical, not rental) let me know. Same for networking equip. The more of the non SDM related hardware I can sell, the more I can use to get this all squared away.

Can be built to suit. 4u racks can handle pretty much any size board. They were intended to be used as 3x 5970 rigs, but with all these issues, never came to be.

Am3 boards
4x4gb Ddr3 (you can get 8gb dimms now, but they are waaaaaay to costly)
dual pcie 16x lanes on MSi or foxcon boards

Ive built a few minecraft servers out of specs like what I have around here. So tell me what your looking for and Ill see what can be done.

Whats the status here? Chickens hatch? RMA's back? Anything Mining? GPUmax deal dead?

You waiting on a price fall back to $2 or something?

Hopefully your 25 btc loan has something to do with paying your debts...

After many months of negotiations, it is time to gather some information. If you have debt due you by Shakaru or Shades Minoco:
