Just gonna throw up a bump for shakaru, known him since the early days and he's a great guy. I used to sell mining contracts and the management can be a real handful so nice to see someone else taking it on.
Thank you! I figured now is a good time to mention that I have a physical store for Shades Minoco located in Lawndale CA at the crossroads of Redondo/Torrance/Lawndale. I will post the exact address once I have everything set up and running. I will also have a small exchange setup in place and some other bitcoin related features. Also in other #JustForTheHellOfItNews, had a Coolmaster 750w blow out in face last night. I dont know what exactly happend, but the running light went off and as I leaned in, POP! Nice little shock with it. So stay away from Coolmaster psus. So far on the good end of the psu spectrum, Antec 900w is kicking but, Thermaltake RX2 750s in dual mode work awsome to despite some beliefs among staff. Im moving over to 360w 12v psus now for running the cards and finding that this is the best solution. The wiring is a pain but with some crimping gear, it is no problem. Thats all for whats going on here at SDM. Now to hit the bar as its FRIDAY NIGHT!

UPDATE: All clients using Deepbit.net without a failover pool are being tossed onto arsbitcoin while the deepbit issues are being dealt with by Tycho and his people. Daily payouts will be issued each morning around 9am PST until the pool has been restored. I would suggest to all of you that only have deepbit setup as your pool that you open up other miner accounts for backup as soon as possible. This message has been relayed via email.

So I come back from dinner tonight and pass by my office and see 4 fire trucks and think the worst...... but it was the autoshop next door that was on fire and not my equipment. Everything at the SDM west facility is offline at the moment and will spark the move to the data center in Arcadia this week as a result. I will in the morning try to pull my desk pc from the office and contact all affected SDM clients. Outage will be very short as we were planing on moving things next week, but this will just force our hands to move faster. Thank you for your understanding and remember...when you take a day off from your autoshop, turn off your coffee maker.

Already made the call, expecting a call back in the morning.
Edit: So for the update, it will be atleast 48 hours until everything is fully up and running. I have my home filled to the max with equipment and 4u racks going to two other homes for the mean time. Looks like the sudden power cut due to melting wires didnt damage anything of importance but just a 775 server we run for testing this proxy we are developing for hashrate disbursement.
I spoke with a few people today about hosting a few of the 25u racks I am building right now and things are looking good to have a full deployment of SDM machines in a datacenter very soon. I will update with details to that as they develop.
I also am looking for any such offers or hosting partnerships in the LA area. If you have a datacenter or other type of location and would like to lease out space, let me know as I am entertaining offers.
To answer some questions I got via pm. The 4u cases I am using are from a company called AerroMax or something like that. They are inexpensive, have 7 card slots and a huge interior. With slight modification they can hold 3 dual cards and one xfx 5770 that has its heatsink protruding from the side and allowing for great airflow. The rigs run in series of their like cards (5830s+5770, 5850s+5770,5870+5770,5970s+5770)
Anyways, I must eat. Have your selfs a good night and I will anouce shortly when we will be taking in new contracts, offering mergedmining and also soon to offer Prime Factorization Prize minig and other great return opertunities from SDM.

We are currently working with a few pool admis to resolve the connection issues for our clients workers. If you have not submited a failover pool worker info to us, I suggest you do so asap as this would keep you mining away while these issues are resolved.

Although every effort is being taken to minimize downtime and contracts are being rotated to prevent service interruption both shakaru and I are relocating, in the event that something goes awry please message either shakaru or I so we are aware of who's contract was offline in the event we are not already aware.

I payed my one year contract in August. got a refund in september for an estimation of the BTC I should have mined in that month. No news from that day. I just want to ask this company to be serious and answer me.

i am envious that you at least received a month's refund. i paid over 1800 btc for 20GH/s on Sep 20 and was told it would take 14-21 days to get it all online. well it's been over 2 and half months now and i've so far only received back a few piddly cents. with the low difficulty numbers we've been having, 20 GH/s should have earned at least 600 btc over this time, but probably much more. i think i have been extremely patient during the whole ordeal, but i am honestly really disappointed.

That is the reason why we are not expanding or taking in any more clients. At the end of the contracts, I will be selling the remainder of the hardware and close up shop. Keeping the equipment online in one place is just way to hard.
Payb.tc, like I said in our pms, I will call you either today or tomorrow. Also, you will get every btc you earned. Just because the hardware is off, does not mean I will not give you the coins you earned while we move.

Send me your btc address again, so I can see which months the auto payment worked and I will bring you up to speed. Sorry for the delay in response. If anyone need to get ahold me me, send an email to Shakaru@shadesminoco.com as it is easier to track than when a new PM comes in. Edit. Desloc and I have been quiet about one MrBashFood (thats Jons forum name right? beign payed, given hardware and assistance to run a good portion of the farm before running with the money after a week. Secondly, as many of you know, user WiseOlOwl used to run BitBux exhange and also lived close to me. After many sucessful cash for coin transactions, the last one he took off with along with taking an order for printing canvas from Desloc and hardware for me that has never shown up. Secondly. Early last month at the compleation of a contract, Paypal allowed someone to claim they never even heard of us and that someone had gained access to their account and charge a large service contract. At the end of the ordeal, we are left footing the bill. I dont want to toss out the number lost, but it is over 5000usd. So basically after almost 6 months, I am having to use my own assets to keep the btc output of the contract as promised. Its not the worst situation in the world, but at this point, I was hoping to have some profit and my hardware, not paying off paypal. Anyways. All curent SDM contracts will finish out with every btc they are owed and before the end of the contract. Email me at the above link for questions.

So... no more mining company? Not in the way it was running. There just becomes a max ammount of hardware you can maintain. SDM will still opperate, and hey, if a rack runs smooth, I will let the contact holder just foot the power bill once we are done and they can run that machine into the ground. Im still figuring out how to do this without to much disruption to power.

Man, I had no idea of this !@#$ that you guys have been going through, tough times. If you feel like running these contracts is more trouble than it's worth, I'd be open to a cancellation (or say a downgrade in hash/sec) with a pro-rated refund of the initial charges. You don't have to feel obligated to run my contract to completion if you're going to shut down operations after that anyway.
