Good question. Not sure I remember the exact line of thought... I learned about Bitcoin by an article in Wired (which was incredibly negatively biased, actually). Despite that article, I immediately liked the idea behind crypto, googled for 'bitcoin', and the forum was one of the top results. Since I early on decided that I wanted to both long-term buy & hold bitcoins, and short-to-mid term trade them, I pretty quickly converged on the speculation sub-forum.

I come to Bitcointalk because the first time that I searched something about bitcoin (the last year) bitcointalk.org appeared in the top 5 result, so I click into it and then come here

I was introduced to bitcoin by my close friend. From google search I found this forum for further knowledge.

Other than knowledge we can gain from this forum we can also make some bitcoins by participating in many programs from this forum. If you search in Google we can find many bitcoin forums but this forum is the mother of all bitcoin forums.

yeah before I know this forum, I am always having trouble finding bitcoin and just get some satoshi, but when I came here I could get a big enough bitcoin
