Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I think they will, just have to learn how to minimize the risks of volatility.

I think investing as soon as possible is the only way to really do that
So that losses can be subtracted from market gains

I'm sure there's going to be more and more places starting accepting bitcoin next year; in fact, I think 2014 is going to be the year of BTC  Grin.

After the recent attention in the media in the last few months, I would expect definitely a more widespread acceptance of bitcoin in the year of 2014.  It doesn't even matter if another crypto-currency wins out in the end, bitcoin will be more widely accepted first because it was the first of its kind to grab the attention it grasped so, and will in the future.

Altcoins currently believe they can "win out" but that is not possible

Bitcoin is the standard the same way we picked gold for its malleability we have chosen bitcoin for its stability People call it volatile but "still growing" and volatile markets are different things that need to be recognized as such

Altcoins are going to be like a field of corn around the bitcoin farm house ...or maybe altcoins are the golden geese... Bitcoin is not going anywhere

I think it will be more widespread but the likely hood of all malls in general accepting bitcoins seems very slim. I think it will take more than a year for that to happen. Certain stores might accept bitcoins, but the mall itself will likely take a lot longer than a year, probably closer to at least 5 if even. Malls do not even accept Paypapl yet.

Did you read the email? If that happens then most malls in America will have a store that accepts them

Automatic conversion to the merchant's favorite national currency is like 60% of the point of services like Coinbase and BitPay.

If there is something that will make Bitcoin succeed, it is growth of utility - greater quantity and variety of goods and services offered for BTC. If there is something that will make Bitcoin fail, it is the prevalence of users convinced that BTC is a magic box that will turn them into millionaires, and of the con-artists who have followed them here to devour them.

They will have to accept them if every other store in the mall around them starts accepting them It would be bad business not to

Apple is the center of tech for non techies so if they accept it then everyone will think it is ok to buy btc

I don't see why we don't see more gas stations doing it already maybe soon Everyone should start asking about that when they go in to pay for gas.
