I hope we get some Bitcoin ATM machines here in the uk next year. That would really help promotion and legitimise it with the public.
I want to see an altcoin atm if that were to happen then everyone would realize how real this all is and more people would feel like they could establish their own bitcoin brands Altcoins will forever be worthless, there's just no way you can get a large amount of shops to accept dozens of Altcoins. At the most they'd accept bitcoin and lite coin. (And lite coin is a stretch already) They're not worthless, as people are obviously using them and are prepared to accept them in exchnage, but their mainstream use depends on whether they become accepted by merchants. You can buy stuff online with Feathercoin and Peercoin etc. You can also swap them for BTC easily enough, so they're not worthless per se.

Like a said there's no way a merchant will accept Altcoins, there's simply no added benefit of accepting dozens of different coins of the same kind, most aren't even compatible with each other. Why would you have euros while living in America? You can swap euros for dollars before you buy something, and euros have value, but it's not handy to use a currency that is not accepted anywhere near you. Altcoins are just trash

Altcoins are just trash There are merchants that accept alt coins, and there will be a lot more coming in 2014. Sure, it doesn't compare to the amount of Bitcoin merchants, but they're not trash if people are willing to trade with them. And one man's trash is another's treasure.

Nice! ,the volatility issue can be overcome by using a website for immediate conversion like bitpay etc... and they get there money in the bank. another difficulty is confirmations,it takes about 10 mins to confirm currently and I doubt they will accept non-confirmed payments.

I 'm socially awkward enough already. I don't want to ask people to pay them with cryptos on top of that. I mean not everyone 's ready yet for bitcoins

If even just a few stores do it it won't be long before there are tons of carts doing it And the mall has fast food so it could effect those markets as well

You're already wrong there is a place that accepts multiple altcoins for silver, copper and gold A place , like in 1 , one single store. Let's just concentrate on the real stuff and leave the alts in the alts section.
