Hey guys,

So today I started mining dogecoins with my laptop-core i3 processor.

It has been mining for the last two hours and I got some 200 dogecoins.

Really looking forward to the world of cryptocurrency.

Cheers.

I have been researching about this cryptocurrrency stuff for the last two weeks.
Had plans to buy 2th/s mining rigs and all but later gave up.

I am working upstream from scratch.

I wish all of you good luck. Smiley

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I just came upon Dogecoin today and began mining as well.
I won't buy any special hardware as it's too high of a risk and I have real-world expenses.
But it's fun mining a ridiculous one that will probably not go anywhere.

I'm using my GeForce GTX 680 and pulling ~200KHs... seems acceptable.
Just waiting to get my first payout in my pool of 50k Dogecoins.

All the pools are pretty flaky right now, either they go down a lot or they don't allow you to cash out. Also I think scryptpools has way more than 50% mining power, so the pool operator could easily do an attack.

If you're having problems with pools going down, one thing I found that works pretty well is to run multiple miner instances, each going to a different pool. That way if one pool is down and the miner can't connect, it'll automatically use as much as it can of your GPU for mining the pool that's still up.

Yeah, running on Script Pools and it's been flaky a few hours ago and then it stabilized.
But there have been payout issues the last few days and I'm still waiting for mine even though I have 50k+ for a while now.
Going to bed soon so I hope to wake up with coin in my wallet.

Scryptpools has been having a lot of stability issues today. Earlier the pool was down but withdrawals were possible, however since about 11:00 UTC the pool has been running but both auto and manual payouts are not working. I really hope what lego said about the pool operator isn't true, I have 900,000+ dogecoins in there right now. It seems like he's just been having server issues though.

Well, I will try it. Actually I'm trying Smiley
But DOGE sync seem a bit overloaded.

None of 3 IP for wallet sync are available
Code:
[root@vpn ~]# telnet 162.243.113.110 22555
Trying 162.243.113.110...
telnet: connect to address 162.243.113.110: Connection refused
[root@vpn ~]# telnet 95.85.29.144 22555
Trying 95.85.29.144...
telnet: connect to address 95.85.29.144: Connection refused
[root@vpn ~]# telnet 146.185.181.114 22555
Trying 146.185.181.114...
telnet: connect to address 146.185.181.114: Connection refused

But still. Its fun. Any maybe fun-factor will apply here. I would like to see where it goes.

Anyway, here is my WOW DOGE address for testing: DDsni6ooPUDq1T6Kex1j5uu8P59saECusH
Feel free to WOW sometime.

EDIT: Synced, mining, all done. (I transfer eers.dat from previous PC, it helped). Btw thx for +10 DOGE. Woof

Some people already traded doge for other goods... someone traded lik 1000000 Doge for 0.1 BTC. Others sell $20 Games for around 20k Doge... so there seems to be
very need

For all those who are in doubt or think like it's just a joke, check out this link.It has been already enlisted in a https://coinedup.com/OrderBook?market=DOGE&base=BTC.

I am really positive about these coins because it's the latest on board and rapidly gaining popularity.
Plus it's a win win situation for me as it can be mined by my laptop @100 dogecoins per hour approximately.

Have them. Sending few back for test.
Im behind socks 5 proxy on this 1.1 wallet. Without peers.dat it did nothing.

EDIT Sad
Buu. Can't send. It crashes on send money attempt. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13028145/temp/DOGEerror1.png
(I tried this 5x, round values, no messages, ...). I guess theres something wrong with socks server integration in this wallet.

Probably, but then again most of these alt coins are.

They may be a joke, but lots of these 'joke' coins end up actually being worth something regardless of whether they are actually used for anything other than a medium of exchange.
