not yet as some ppl think, it is not a bubble, so that is no point to call it like this, some ppl predict more price, and we will see it in the next several years, the thing is, its amount is limited, so do it now, invest into this shit when it is still available.
Lets see what is going to happen next. Do not know about you, but personally I am really intrugued about the future if Bitcoin

Bitcoin is not excessive. This is a method of mutual settlements without unnecessary losses. And also very convenient, the so-called "personal" bank.

Maybe the price is overhyped but the tech is there and we cannot contest this. I would say that bitcoin price should be lower than 7k but I don't know what will be the reaction of the miners if bitcoin keeps hitting lower and lower prices.

The bull market that we had at the end of last year and the beginning of this year is what helped to show that bitcoin was overhyped but it is living up to the hype now. The price did not crash back to zero like people expect of a bubble which is a good thing. Now the price is at a reasonable place and we shouldn't expect it to go up too soon

I think bitcoin is overhyped in the sense that there are better coins out there, in terms of tech and so on. But despite this, btc still remains king and i think will continue being so for some time now.

Hyped? Maybe.
Overhyped? Maybe.
Overrated? Abso-f*cking-lutely.

Of course it is hyped because as a currency it has no value if it has no hype.
Maybe overhyped, because investors want profits!

And definitely overrated because there are much better coins/tokens now in the industry techwise, brandwise and so on. bitcoin has only one advantage over many other cryptocurrencies: age.

It’s probably a sign of the times that every self respecting value investing blog has to have a post about bitcoin. And when you tell a random person that you invest the first question these days is if you own (or trade) bitcoins or not. So I guess “The Alpha Vulture” can’t stay behind, and share with the world what it thinks about bitcoin, whether you want to hear it or not. As the title of this post implies I’m skeptical about bitcoin, and most other software projects that are based on blockchain technology.

Is Bitcoin overhyped?

Now at least that can be called over-celebrated. Any cryptocurrency. It is clear that this is a bubble, but it can live a very long time.

My opinion on this question is that Bitcoin can never be over hyped because Bitcoin on it's own is making waves all round the globe by making impact in various countries and also making transactions easier for various firms/organization across the globe. In conclusion, Bitcoin has made a name on it's own.

No, Bitcoin is not over-hyped and it never was. Peoples demand for it makes is valuable. The hype has come with the popularity, but it just result of Bitcoins fingerprint.

All such coins today exists because of btc even you know that. And also if btc moves so does other coin rises else vice versa so irrespective you like it or not btc is the king and will always remain for next few years. Also if their are good coins they will rise eventually but now ETH is the only coin after btc in market cap.

Is Bitcoin overhyped?

Every crypto enthusiasts do have different perspectives with regards to this kind of topic. There are some skeptics saying that bitcoin is just a mirage. I know that bitcoin's success created those hypes that's why right now the crypto market is suffering from a bearish one since there are new investors coming to crypto space who are investing emotionally and this can hurt bitcoin's value. New investors have different perspective when it comes to bitcoin, so if crypto market is bearish they do tend to panic sell and would really affect the value of bitcoin.

In my opinion the value of bitcoin will go down, but because the decline is very slow and miners consume a lot of energy, It's not excessive hype, but People currently only buy, then sell at higher prices than they buy now, There is nothing wrong with it all,
If everyone is buying low and selling high, the process is repeating, bitcoin prices will increase more and more.

Is Bitcoin overhyped?

It probably was back in november-december 2017 when bitcoin reached an all time high of $20k USD. Back then everyone was calling for bitcoin to breakthough all the way up to $50k. Sadly though, the hype died out and now we are back to $9k.

No worries though as surely people now realize the value of bitcoin and the new wave of investors are now real and organic.

I don't think Bitcoin is overhyped or overrated. It is the Investment,Trading, HODL it is the people participation that create a lot of news whether it is a good news or bad news... let just be realistic, Bitcoin again is all over the news..confronting the issue on Banned, Scammer, and the government which is critical on Regulation, and the most recent event is the Hacking incident reported in South Korea about Bithumb. with all of this news about Bitcoin people either get interested or just want to be updated about the news resulting to increase awareness of the general public.

Someone thinks bitcoin is a soap bubble, and someone recognizes crypto currency as a valuable asset. Bitcoin is a digital currency that provides users with unique capabilities. The Bitcoin payment system uses a cryptographic and decentralized register. As soon as it appeared, many thought that behind it - the future of the world of finance, but at the same time, bitkoyn opened the gates for the underworld. Therefore, it is popular.

What do you mean by abuse? Criminal activities? For example, money laundering? Deep Internet transactions? If this is the case, then this is certainly existing.

Is Bitcoin overhyped?

Of course if comparing the technology. But for a symbol, I think Bitcoin will always be worthy of higher appreciation than any Altcoin.
So for the current price range, maybe I will confirm that the price is quite cheap.

Is Bitcoin overhyped?

At this time probably not. Of course a very fast rise will take its toll, but right now we may have received enough punishment.
So it might be better to prepare for the next swing, and maybe it will happen to a lot of Altcoin.

Bitcoin might be overhyped but there are better blockchain alternative like eth neo wanchain. These are underrated considering bitcoin price  Wink
