im asking this question in all seriousness as i would like to try this out but what compelling reason or argument do you have as to why people should use your OS instead of smOS or HiveOS. what new or better or different features does yours offer that the other two dont? thanks

In the current state Cowry is quite similar to those, except we will have our mobile apps released soon(as far as I know they don't have that), so you will be able to manage your rigs on the go.
What will make us quite different in a few months is the option to put your GPUs up on a marketplace, where AI/ML researchers can rent it for a higher value than you would earn by mining coins. Our architecture won't require any extra hardware(extra RAM, high-end CPU, extra SSD storage, etc) in a rig, since the only thing the researchers will rent is the GPU.
Another cool feature we are working on is an open hardware rig resetter, you can buy the hardware part and just put our firmware on it and you can manage it from your Cowry account.

And I assume it is an 8GB pendrive? If so, my guess is there it isn't 8GB(some of the ones are just ~7.5) and it doesn't have enough free space.

Could you please do an md5 checksum verification?
This is the zip: b11a1ffd16597e1525146a6961842223
And the extracted ISO: 8da9e0f9f23d3f553c3187031a0968b9

Let me know your OS if you don't know how to do it and I will help you.

I was able to reproduce this issue. It looks like if you are trying to flash the zip directly with Etcher it fails for some reason. But if you extract it first, then flash the ISO it works. I will try to figure out what causing it, in the meantime please extract the zip before flashing.

RX Vega is not supported, setup with Cowry you will have problems. It will be necessary to pre-install the application for drivers.

Unfortunately the AMD driver for Linux doesn't work with Vega cards yet.

There is a little update from us:
  • We introduced payment plans and Cowry OS if free to use for 1 rig: https://cowry.io/#pricing
  • We started our crowdfunding campaign this month and already have some amazing backers!: https://cowry.io/funding.html
  • Later this week we will publish documentation on how to setup Sonoff based devices for remote resetting rigs and get power meter data into Cowry OS from Sonoff devices

I have 1.8 kh/s and I earn 360-380 zero per day. How much I will earn by your platform? And what currency will pay to me?
