Well that's something slightly different. You are referring to sheeps (whale sheeps? hehe) that follow the same current which indeed have a strong impact on price. What I'm referring to is that big holders can organize and time big buys/selloffs, thereby profiting from their alliance.

I see where you are coming from. When entering into this space, it's hard not to be bedazzled by all the promises of new technology. You too probably watched too many videos and invested too much on the basis of shit those people say. If you have  "invested" mostly in bitcoin then like gentelemand said, just sit tight.

If you sit tight long enough then the current generation of whales get eaten by bigger ones down the line and another 0 is added to the end of the price.

Sadly, for those who "invested" in ICOs believing the fake hype and vaporware promises will have to rely on their judgments or their luck. Those who did the research should just be part of whatever that ecosystem is. Those who simply bought Tron , well, get the hell out when you can.

The real fight is not with the manipulation that the big traders are doing. It is about the future of cryptocurrencies and how governments will try to regulate. Whether the regulation will be for safeguarding smaller investors or for controlling crytpo remains to be seen.

It is so obvious that some kind of manipulation is choking the potential price increases of all cryptos. So what is the point of all youtube vids, reddit threads, telegram announcements about new developments. Price will hardly increase anymore.

Those bastards have done it and are weakening the potential gains investors could have.

Every day it becomes more obvious. Positive news does not affect the course. There are only manipulations that affect the entire crypto currency market.

This is a part of the game my friend. FUD, FOMO...video explaining why the market will crash, etc.. It works on the traditional market. We are all fishies, and the gain it's for big wallet.. And it always seem to be working for just one reason because we have naive people investing in the various cryptocurrencies and when it comes to FUD, it works with every investments and that includes the stock markets and a whole lot of other investments.

Yes, I forgot to mention the newbies. This is a big factor. I know 50% of people at work lost a lot of money, when they tried to speculate in January at the high of the market. They lost 70% in value of their portfolio. Ouch

I also think a cold wallet is the first course of action, especially with all the recent exchanges that got hacked and even Myetherwallet a while ago. Not sure if a business computer is more secure though. Businesses still typically use windows machines and these can get much easier infected compared to Linux or Apple. Especially if you use them outside of the office network in your WLAN at Home.

People were talking about crypto like it was unstoppable by TPTB. Because they are just thinking about the technology.

But the TPTB which form the biggest collection of whales, can so easily choke the market by manipulating.

Now even though there is every reason for a bull market, it doesn't arrive because of these bastard whales.

Sadly, everyone wants to manipulate the market. Everyone wants to make their gains as certain as possible. That is why everybody wants to become whales. While the rich can handily do it, the small fishes try their best to ride with their calls. We all want to make a profit. As a matter of fact, we try to promote Bitcoin with sugar-coated descriptions. Why? Because we want its price to rise and gain from it. We read the news, we study trading, we try our luck with our TAs, we even join pump and dump groups, and so on. Why? Because we want to gain.

If we could have a chance to get out of all our uncertain and risky calls and manipulate the price movements of the market instead to create gains easily, would you not grab it?

The price manipulation is real, every time when price drops or goes ups incredibly fast and sharply is manipulation. IT is hard to determine the impact in large scale and in long run, they cant do it all the time because then there will be no action on shorts and longs thus they will not have option to profit form manipulation.

Unfortunately, the altcoin market is bleeding and most of them are dying. And then vent his frustrations on the market and the manipulators and blame everyone including his dogs and neighbours.

Let's not single out Bitcoin as the only commodity or currency that are being manipulated. We know that certain cartels are busy manipulating the prices of things like precious metals. <Gold / Silver etc.> So this is just how this game is being played, the person or group of people with the most resources, determine the outcome of the game that are played. 

These people also have enough money to pay other people <Shills> to spread FUD and to push their agenda on social media platforms to accomplish their goals. We just need to stand together to identify these shills and to fight back with the facts.

i will never ever blame anyone for making a mistake of making a bad investment decision. i know that i have made very similar mistakes and have lost money in the same fashion.

but i will blame all those who made the bad decision and then didn't do anything about it for a very long time (nearly 2 years) and continued losing money in that period. there is just no excuse for losing  80% to 95% of your investment over the course of 2 years and doing absolutely nothing about it and still continue bag holding shitcions...

I think you have gotten the secrete of bitcoin really, I have noticed that several times when people are all over the internet making predictions and analysis that bitcoin will increase and when the hype is really there, that is when you see the price of bitcoin dumping like there is no tomorrow, but that point where you have calm down and you are predicting bitcoin to drop low to $5000 and even lower, that is when bitcoin will decide to increase and surge beyond what we can imagine, this is why I am into long term investment, I cannot give myself headaches over prediction of prices, so I leave bitcoin to just perform in its own way while I watch once in a while.

I personally don't believe too that TA works for BTC fully, but it can still be applied to some extent.

My guess that it is done of someone to make huge profit from knowing exactly how people will react to fall or rise of cryptocurrency.
