They seem to work just fine... Any idea on maximum length of USB cable that can be used?
The supplier has offered options such as 50cm, 60cm, and 100cm (I just happened to get 30cm because thats what they had available). As long as it's a USB 3.0 cable, any of those lengths should work fine. Trying other lengths is at your own risk.

@ssateneth Hey. I recently purchased a few units of these risers from you. I have a question regarding them. Due to the unavailability of the motherboards commonly used in rigs, I've been thinking about going with the ASRock Z87 Killer (Fatal1ty) motherboard. On another thread, this post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=36061.msg4264789#msg4264789 ) claims that the motherboard needs shorting of some pins to recognize all GPUs connected to it. The MoBo has 7 PCI-E slots, and I'd like to use all of them. In your original product description, you mentioned that these risers have some built-in enhanced video card detection feature. I was wondering if this negates the need to short any MoBo pins, or will I need to do that anyways?
This question is for everyone. The motherboard manual does not mention anything about connecting more than 3 GPUs or any PCI-E devices, so I have no information about whether or not its possible to use 7 cards on this MoBo. Do you know of any to ensure that this MoBo will work, without actually purchasing it? I tried searching the forum, but there are only 2 threads which mention this board, and they don't have the information I'm looking for. I do not mine scrypt, or GPU mine at all anymore, so I cannot provide assistance with any GPU mining questions, but I will say the risers have pci-e presence mod built right into the PCB. that means no inserting wires into a pci-e slot to get a card to detect. getting drivers to install or getting rid of error 43 is a different problem and not something i can assist with. its also possible some motherboards fully turn off certain pci-e slots when others are populated. this is an isolated problem and something you need to consult your motherboard manual or manufacturer for. Thanks for the clarification, ssateneth. I guess I'll have to call ASRock support or something to find out about the pci-e slots on it.

I feel like these are not going to tolerate a 50-75w power draw very well...hmm

How so? Check the socket specs to see how the power is provided and then check all riser models and tell us.

The way alt coins are heading I'm probaly a dumba ss but i'm going to grab a pile of card and will need some of these.
PM or email me for next buy and can someone link me to a thread for gpu choices?
I'm looking for hash per watt comparisons. So don't just drop the wiki page please.

I'm using a lot of the 270x cards now as well. Price / performance is really good. Power is cheap for me, but they don't seem to use very much power compared to other cards. As for the riser cards, I've got a ton coming in since OP is sold out. Should be here tomorrow morning. See my sig.
