.conf goes in the %appdata%/roaming directory that all wallets create when you first launch them. This is also where the blockchain is stored.... First coin? This does seem to be a pretty weak attempt at starting a currency. Now can anyone tell me why theres no block source available?
No, not all coins put their .conf there. Dogecoin for example puts it in the same directory as the executable. Either way, having a tutorial and *not* specify where to find or put the conf file is stupid. As it happened I also did a search on molecule.conf and it has returned none (except for the one I made). This is *after* I set language in client and restarted it. So wherever it saves config info, it's not showing up.

You need to manually create the .conf file in the automatically created folder in \roaming\molecule\

Does solo mining with this coin require the client and the miner in the same folder?
Does the client require -server on start?
If using a non-client miner is there any way to check within the client console to make sure you are mining?

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State BlockNet can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State BlockNet to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State BlockNet.” - Joseph Goebbels

No, not all coins use this method. I specifically gave an example - Dogecoin by default has a .conf file _in the program directory_. At least, the package I downloaded did.

Ignore this coin to the fullest extent.
Just mined for many hours using the client and the instructions...CPU fully blazing at 100% usage.
Result : 0 COINS IN WALLET.
Nothing. Just pointless energy wasted on a fast I5 machine.

Molecule's difficulty is currently at 562. Solo mining isn't practical for this coin -- you need to join a pool if you want to mine it. Don't fuck us. Its a new coin and cant be mined solo almost the time without pools

Ok so i got my first block solo mining:
category" : "immature", "amount" : 705.60000000, "confirmations" : 2, "generated" : true, "blockhash" : "000000005d1ff2692570b55b16f01a73eda3ef2de12ee1e3cf4cb651114823fb", "blockindex" : 0, "blocktime" : 1387107499,
I thought block reward was supposed to be 784 instead of 705,60 as stated in first post by OP .

Don't event bother with Atom. Let the premine and the other fork quietly die. You will just be giving away crap without any value and thus making your giveaway have no value.
Stick with this new fork and create a giveaway from that. I will be happy to offer some coins towards the giveaway.
