Why would anyone release a coin at 12am EST.  That is a sure way to eliminate a huge percentage of people in EST.

So it's Saturday 6 AM CET? A bad time for a release.

As a result of the Molecule fork - ATOM will be arriving.  Hold on to your particles...

ATOM will be released 21 December at 12 am midnight.

http://www.atocoin.com

http://www.reddit.com/r/atomcoin/

https://twitter.com/ATOM_Coin

It is based on Quark, you can either use the built in miner in the wallet or download one of the Quark optimized external miners that can be found on this forum.

You should have posted link instead of letting new players search the whole forums to get your miner.

Hey fucktard, noone ever said that. There are times that would better for a lot of regions. Hell, do it one hour earlier and makes it just as easy, if not easier, for many time zones.

Based on this:

http://www.atocoin.com/video-2000000-atom-giveaway/

Atom is going to have at least a 2 million premine.  Have you not learned from your previous mistakes with Molecule?

Anyone have some Higgs Boson available from the genesis block?  I hear they are hard to mine and extremely valuable  Cheesy

Yes actually, Higgscoin is a excellent crypto - no premine + 'gravity well' difficulty adjustment algorithm

Here is a picture of my (liquid helium cooled) mining set-up:

The power usage is a 'little' on the heavy side, but I can mine the mass out of the very fabric of space-time  Grin

At least organize the Git: https://github.com/moleculecoin/atom

Are we supposed to *watch* the project to learn when you provide the source to compile? (serious question)

The coin drops tomorrow night 12/21 at midnight EST.  I chose the time mainly for my own convenience as I still have some Christmas stuff to wrap up.  Sorry if it is inconvenient for anyone.

Links to wallet downloads, source code, miners, giveaway updates, etc. will come along with the announcement when the coin is released.

Thanks for all of the interest!

The source code for coins is out there... everyone is free to create their own coin in the way they think it should be done based on their own ideas.

No. Read what he said again. As far as I can tell he didn't make any mention of HIS coins source code being available.

I read it as, if you dont like how I am releasing this coin, go make your own, which is fine. He can do whatever he wants, even if that means premining the heck out of it.

The source code for Atom has not been pushed to github yet.  It will be pushed to github when the rest of the release is posted.  Thanks again for all the great interest!
