Yup MOL is the fair one. It even had kind of a pre-launch party with the pre-mine fiasco. But the Dev saw the light and forked Molecule. Then Atom was born from the dust. lol..

Why would a fork cause the premine to disappear.

Any coins held prior to a fork should be present on both paths. The differences in two chains that forked only involve transactions that happened after the fork.
