Most project are inclined on using their platform to create a utility token for incorporation in their projects. The advantage of it is very simple and easy to use and create, thats why it can be also a disadvantage on them since most users are using it on malicious activity.

Yes I agree with that, and again ethereum are still the largest smart contract platform that used by most of blockchain project. Even the other platform are still better than ethereum, but the community & the user of that coin are not as great as ETH IMO.
