With 5 ETH you should divide in several ICO to join, I can recommend Egritia project, It's the fourth project that was marketed by Krypital ( They were successful with Cybermiles, Arcblock). The second you can chip in is Nauticus, high rate on ICO and they already had their MVP, they're the first exchange in Australia, too. Before you buy an ICO you need to evaluate the project first. Just to be careful  need to do research first because nowaday many ICO are scamming people. Buying ICo now is risky. So if i were you  im going to hodl  your eth and wait for it to gain profit. its good to invest in eth now in will rise again in the end of the year then go cashout and buy again if it will dump again. but it depends on you if you want to earn in risky part.

I don't think this is the right strategy. You should find such projects yourself. Because if you invest money and lose, will then blame the person who advised you. My opinion. Learn more about projects Sentinel, Romad, QuarkChain. They have something interesting.

I think you should hold the eth for long term holding. If you have more money, you can buy in more coins to make more profit in short term trading.
