Why would you do that? Bitcoin is cheap today so it's not a good time of selling.

If you want to sell your bitcoin and convert it to Ethereum then you better do it when the price is good but for today, it isn't.

If you don't have any ETH in your portfolio then yeah you should convert some of your bitcoins to Ethereum. I read that 2018 will be year of ethereum. Bitcoin would of course grow but I think Ethereum is going to have better growth. You can convert 50 percent of your bitcoin to Ethereum as we can't take risk by converting all. BTC is nonetheless beneficial too.

I would not do it. Hold to your BTC is a right option. It is number one crypto on market and sure will only grow higher. If you want to invest into another good project, like ETH, just do it with your wallet if budget allows you.

I personally think it will be unwise to sell bitcoin to buy Ethereum, you can spread your investment, buy and hold Ethereum too.

I think you'd better keep it instead of having to convert it to ethereum. If you want to invest ethereum and you have capital, you better buy it with that capital. Currently the market price is down, it becomes your chance to buy it. Holding them both for the better, but the decision is yours.

Sorry to say, but if you compared as these two thing option, i would prefer still hold into Bitcoins rather convert to Ethereum. But, other alternative if you fell Bitcoin increasing so slow to makes profit then split your investment into some altcoin such as monero, siacoin, bitcoincash, ect, that has good recovery and fast increasing price.

I can suggest you to convert 50% of your Bitcoin in Etherium. I think it is the best way to minimize risks in crypto.

It depends on what is the motivation behind it. ETH has more room to grow in the long term, but with BTC you can prevent having substantial losses when the alts dip hard, as its a store of value and doesn't fluctuate as much.

Nope, hold on still. One of the rules of profitable trading - don't make extra movements while charts fall, cause you loose $ on exchange and withdrawals
