I am this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=372725.0
I don't know where else to post since I can't post in that thread or the official P2Pool thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.7200, but I am indeed the fool in question. I know that these things can happen with bitcoin if you are careless, and I know that none of the miners in P2Pool have any sort of obligation to return my coins, but if you are feeling like a very generous person, my address is 1Jt35Ww1GjM9iGyTM8mAyBmCPPdPz7Z35A. I'd also really appreciate if someone could relay this information to either of those threads.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I never had a bitcointalk account. I made one yesterday after realizing my error in the hopes of posting to the P2Pool thread and explaining the situation, pleading, etc.

I reposted, If you could sign message with the address you send such high transaction fee, you might get some tips, but I doubt about the 20 BTC

This.

There's no way to proove you are that guy, though I sure wouldn't admit to that!

Signing the address that sent the 20BTC fee would prove that you are that fool. People here call fake beggers scammers, so that would shut them up.

Please DO NOT send me private messages asking for help setting up GPU miners. I will not respond!!!

What does it matter?  The address here in the thread corresponds to the key that signed the errant transaction.

People can just send the donations to the actual address that sent the 20btc and they 'll be sure that its owner will get them  Shocked

Well I doubt there is any technical thing to do to correct this. just try messaging p2pool and telling them about that error as they might refund you these fees. and if they do try avoiding brain wallets.

You can't contact p2pool, it's a peer to peer network with auto payouts. This guy would have to go find and ask probably tens (or maybe a few hundred) people to refund his fee. Good luck with that!

Does he said what wallet he use ?

Elsewhere he said brainwallet.org, iirc, and messed up the raw transaction where he specified the change address. So instead of getting any change all the extra went to fees.

It is better to use one of the more normal, non raw transaction, wallets for this reason.

On the plus side, you can make this a positive in your mind by thinking about how much money you've saved from losing by the value of bitcoins decreasing in market value. If you sent @ $800, price is now $626... you've "saved" around $3500 by losing money at an opportune time. Will repost in p2p thread.

Is that pseudo-PGP ASCII wrapper common now?

It's very non-standard among the different clients. Armory actually has three different signing schemes, but was unable to read the provided one without dissecting it and entering the different fields myself. Clearsign in Armory:
