Got mine today, but sadly one of the blades is broken - two capacitors were broken off the board. Also the metal frame was badly warped and bent. Sad

Umm, are the two broken capacitors at the end of the main board (the one that holds the control board with ethernet jack) ?

It would be odd if we both have the exact same damage.

I had bent frame on one of mine, but no damage to the board. I think the packing material is not adequate to protect these devices during shipping.

Hope they figure out where yours is and get it to you soon.

Mine did show up Thursday afternoon.  It made it into town on Tuesday, but it was 10am and the local UPS distro was closed to walk-in customers, so I had to wait.  Its up and running now.

It turned out that they got a second tracking number for the package. other one is invalid somehow. package is in customs now. waiting for final release after i paid the tax for it.

But I got the first one delivered today.  I tried to set it up. I crossed green and black cables  with  cord i cut out of an extra power cable . Power supply runs for few minutes then stops.  I can't turn it back up for a couple of minutes. After the wait i can turn it up again only after a few minutes again. it shuts down Sad

one i'm trying to connect is a 600w xilence psu.  In the setup thread  it's written to buy 450 w psu. I think the make-shift jumper wire out of a power cable maybe the issue or xilence psu takes more than to just cross green and black cable i dont know.

If either of the above are your PSU, please note there are TWO 12V rails. Usually this means 1 rail supports the ATX mobo connectors and Molex wiring, while the other is dedicated to the PCI-e connectors.

If you run both sides of your miner using only PCI-e cables on the one rail, you will be using more power than the allowable amperage (at stock speeds, ~360W or 30A). Even if split up properly, you should make sure each rail is capable of a minumum 18A to allow a little bit of headroom.

It sounds like you are running them on only 1 rail so the system starts fine at low power draw, but once it connects to the stratum server and begins to pull the full amperage required for hashing, your PSU rail is overloaded and it shuts down.

use the 2x4pin ATX connectors for 1 blade and a pci-e cable for the other and you should be fine

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

how do you modify them for easy/safe use? I actually won a pair of 630W ones on a local ebay auction the other day but have not picked them up yet.

I managed to open   miner configuration before it shuts down. All three worker info was present so it was trying to hash and trying get more power i guess. I managed to erase all three worker info so miner continued to work without shutting down. But when i entered one of my own pool worker info it shut down again.

I used both pci-e cable on both sides of the miner. I tried your suggestion , connecting one side of miner with pci-e (tried both of them) and connecting the other side with 2X4 pin ATX connectors but i never got it run.  so i'm out of ideas other than dismantling the 1000w  psu from own desktop computer give it shot. But i'm at a loss because in the setup page it says 450w psu recommended. How in the hell people got it to working with 450w psu Smiley
