If you are planning to use VPS to mine any altcoin, you can try DigitalOcean which is often mentioned in some cloud mining guides or tutorials.
But the promotion codes for Digitalocean in the guides or tutorials are already out of date. In this post I will reguarly update some new promotion codes for Digitalocean.

Let's start as following:

1. visit the DigitalOcean site;  my referral link → http://www.dwz.cn/digitalocean-com

2. Signup for an account with your email and password;

3. login your account and click the “Get Started” button to continue;

4. at the bottom enter the  promotion code and it will be redeemed automatically;

5. You need add a credit card to verify your account or use PayPal pay $5.

I have and use a VPS from digital ocean for SecureCoin mining

However - the billing is deceptive

We change for every hour a droplet exists (regardless of whether powered off or on) from the beginning of the hour in which the droplet was created to the end of the hour in which the droplet was destroyed.

I'm lucky I checked every half day when I started otherwise it could have really got out of hand with 5 x quad core droplets running

edit: Thought it would also be good to mention, that the more "droplets" you add, the lower the hashrate each "droplet" gets - so it's not worth creating any more than 1 from the start.

Well when i started mining Datacoins i put 10 dollars and when i returned it was minus something. I told them there was no way to pay for something i didnt order (i put 10 dollars +the promo cause i needed 10 dollars and promo and no more) so they erased my balance. Its a stupid thing that it continues to carry on if you balance is negative and must change.

I paid with paypal though. If you pay with credit card well bad choice.

Do you have more info about that? because if that is really happening its bad. i know you actually use only like 50-60% of the core but if this also happens then its very bad.
