Will Blockchain initial promise fade away?

Although since the years that electronic money has not been developed, many economic critics say that blockchain and bitcoin technology will not survive until the time of the accident. But after many times changing its value, bitcoin has gained a place in the money-market, and no coin can replace its position. Blockchain technology is also the basis for the development of bitcoin, which is also the cradle for developers building on the technology they bring to create new coins.

That's an interesting question.

I think that the distinction between blockchain and bitcoin needs to be made clear here. Even though bitcoin is reliant on blockchain technology, blockchain technology is much broader, and can be used for many things, while bitcoin is a distinct currency itself.

I do think that certain blockchain projects are really getting to the point that they are nothing more than just profit making schemes for the founder (most ICOs). However, bitcoin's initial promise is still upheld imo, and as an alternative digital cash form and store of value, it's working thus far and probably will continue to long into the future. Another reason for holding BTC instead of random cryptos.

The Internet was seen as a great liberator when the small guy could compete against the big corporations. But fast forward 20 years have we lost the benefits of the net with the way it is now dominated by a few large companies? From being a liberator it has become controlling. Will we see the same happen for blockchain where initially we can see it as a great disruptor and disinter-mediator only to become something that over time becomes less free and more controlling?

If you mean is cryptocurrency, it could be. When big financial institution entering cryptocurrency market, they bring a lot money and can control the price by buying a lot coin. But if we are steady and still holding our coin, i am believe we can take advantages from them because when entering, price of crypto will be rising
