Let us support it as it will add value to the crypto world I believe this would be profitable just like bitcoin and ethereum has come, let us just wait and see, can't wait for this kind of opportunity again.

It could take several years to introduce Facebook's own cryptocurrency. It's still unclear for me how Facebook plans to implement the blockchain technology or related solutions on its platform. At the same time, Telegram has already launched Telegram Passport which is now being internally tested, so FB could use its best practices in the future.

If Face book is considering offering a cryptocoin then the blockchain technology is becoming the future of business transactions. Overtime many other corporate bodies including banks will adopt blockchain. This is a welcome news and an opportunity for investments.

Wow, that is awesome, but as far as I know they are just going to explore bitcoin, not totally make a cryptocurrency, though they have the manpower and the technology to make their own virtual coin, but again as far as I know they are only going to make a team or explore more about blockchain, I think that their main goal is not making their own cryptocurrency it might not even be their concern to make a crypto, maybe they really just wanted to take more seriousness to blockchain and not generating another crypto.

this may be the reason facebook closed the cryptocurrency ads in january 2018. they want to participate in cryptocurrency world and want to bring up the coin itself. does not rule out the media that prohibit will participate in cryptocurrency.

news like this can increase the curiosity of facebook users against cryptocurrency which certainly will increase the sense of interest towards the crypto itself. I'm sure if facebook held ICO, the results will be sold out

This is rubbish and complete FUD. Facebook has no plan to launch cryptocurrency. There is no announcement and many news article website is creating clickbait articles and spreading the FUD. The reality is something different. The head of facebook messenger Mr. David Marcus has been moved to a different role to explore blockchain technology to be used within facebook to ensure data integrity and security. There has been no plan at all to launch facebook's own crypto currency. Stop this FUD and it is not helping the market.

They already announced it last year but it just a rumor because of no confirmation. Is the source of that article is legit? Because if it is, then its gonna be exciting!

After a few months ago they declared a banned advertiser crypto now there is a rumor that Facebook will make a crypto. To my knowledge, Facebook just wants to explore how far the technology used by bitcoin is Blockchain and I think they just want to focus on this technology instead of making its own crypto. They want to analyze the benefits of blockchain technology for some services and maybe this technology could be adopted by Facebook for some of the things required regarding payment methods.

Could this be true? then this will be a cheering news for blockchain and bitcoin. This will draw more corporate bodies to incorporate blockchain in their system and which will widen the usage of bitcoin and increase its value.

The news makes Facebook the latest blue chip, along with Microsoft and IBM, to put serious thought into blockchain applications.
Official spokespeople remain tight-lipped, acknowledging to several media outlets that “Facebook is exploring ways to leverage the power of blockchain technology.” They didn’t say anything about a currency but coyly admitted that “this new small team will be exploring many different applications. We don’t have anything further to share.”
The news said that Facebook will only explore the blockchain and didn't say about creating a cryptocurrency but if they pursue and continue this idea I'm sure that cryptocurrency will be known in the whole world because as we know there are billions of users of Facebook in the world and by that it is also a great opportunity to promote cryptocurrency and will be known and maybe other countries will legalize cryptocurrency and allow the users in their country.

If this would ever happen then Facebook token will be sold out just after the ICO sales started, and I am looking forward for articles saying "First ICO project that sold out it's maximum token supply!" or semi line like this since there will be changing in Facebook if they will launched a project, perhaps we will have special Facebook membership in the future.

Hahahaha really ? That's so funny A long while ago they declared to us will ban all crypto related ads on their website. And now, they want to launch own crypto. I know why they banning crypto ads, because they want to freely promote their coin to all facebook users on their website without worries with other coins...
