It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Finally got enuff posts to post on my own topic Cheesy

Anyway, yes we have plans on doing shows, music and news related.

The site is currently in the works, as those of you that have tried the link have noticed by now.

Any suggestions or advice? Any bit helps build a bigger/better site.

Hey this looks like a great service.  I run (though not very actively anymore) an online radio station (founded in 2002) called Degenernet Radio.  You can check it out at http://www.degenernet.com  We only play independent music and at one time had a talk radio show that was broadcast live from the studio I used to own (there's been talk of reviving it).  The talk format was essentially "Howard Stern, without the censorship"

In any case, the reason I was replying was to let you know that if you'd be interested, I have the rights to re-package and stream the entire catalog of music royalty free... So give it a listen and let me know if there's anything you'd be interested in playing.

Best of luck!

The guys at free talk live might be a good resource. They run a 24hr liberty stream you could use to pad out your playlist untill you get enough hosts. They also accept bitcoins and Roger from memorydealers advertises bitcoin there.

Recently ive been considering a plan to partition off time slots (whether it be hours or a full day) and handing out those slots to whom ever wishes to be heard by the bitcoin community. Of course these broadcasters would be screened before allowing to stream due to the possibility of somebody spewing complete nonsense over the airwaves(pipelines).

I could also section it off according to which btc forks are currently "in"; handing those slots to the communities of the fork, letting them have a day to broadcast any news or updates concerning the fork... or something along those lines.
Example: Mondays (BTCRadio) Tuesday (SCLRadio) Wednesday (LTCRadio), etc...

What do you guys think?

Or i could just host multiple streams, each fork having its own station, and just have them part of a "network" of channels. That way it will be up to the fork's/chain's community to keep their station stocked with content.
