It seems to me that all the panic is done by people who bought their bitcoin in the period from November 2017 to January 2018. Calm down the guys and understand that the world of crypto is only just beginning and everything is ahead of him. You can not judge the outcome of a Consensus when it is not over yet))) Wait a couple of months and only then it will be possible to draw conclusions.

It is not the consensus alone that made what the bitcoin achieve right now, we can clearly see in the past that the price almost dropped to 80% yet it managed to recover and stays on the top one till the present, the trend, the hype and the extreme adoption that made the bitcoin more popular and one of the most used cryptocurrency, good sign that it made to maintain that price of 8k to 9k.

Please do not panic about the bitcoin price and alts. I see after this conference ends actually we see bitcoin value dumped little. Fact this is not good sign for crypto currency. However if you think which one is the best coin to still every one suggest you bitcoin only. Along with that, please invest your fund on all potential cryptos including bitcoin now. I think we can find the BTC price up with in some months for sure. So don't be panic. |

Tons of new projects/partnerships/funding have been announced in the past two days (Circle, for example, will launch a new stable coin) and prices are slightly down... It is sometimes frustrating the total non-correlation between price and adoption...

Why would the consensus make difference? Bitcoin has been dipping down so the hope from that consensus was gone? No.
You are only looking to that consensus as if it's the only way that bitcoin will go up. Let bitcoin move accordingly and base on the volumes not with just a single conference.

I am so grateful for this insight, to back what you said up instead of crypto market to soar in price it become plummet and went down, when i saw the consensus news i was expecting the price will increase but reverse is the case. |

Well previous concensus actually did something crypto releated but now it seems just like a cash cow(look just how many other blockchain releated events are happening the same period in NY and how much are tickets for them)Also we had a masive bull run not long ago so you cant really expect to see some masive price movement

I think if anything positive bitcoin will be up when consensus occurs but if the negative result bitcoin will get a pretty good correction, lately during the course of the consensus the bitcoin price has increased and the decrease is tolerable, maybe it happened because of the confusing news. I just hope this year's consensus can bring better bitcoin.

I don’t think this conference affect btc because there is many conferences happening against it and many of the speakers are motivating to them nowadays investors are getting motivate to invest in btc because it has bright future and after few days later btc price will increase and they can double their money so bitcoin still holding its top position.

I think there are some important aspects and factors that make bitcoin rise, but consensus I think does not produce a significant effect |

Events like this one are very important and interesting for the future of cryptocoins, in these events you can see the good health of the ecosystem and the direction to which it's directed in the long-term. You can't see these events speculatively, thinking about the short term. On the other hand, I think there are people who are confusing the term FUD. FUD would be to say that the Bitcoin price was going to go down, not to say that it was going to go up.

People expecting bitcoin to go up from consensus were doing so out of blind hope that maybe something like that will help boost the price of bitcoin when in fact bitcoin does not need any event for the price to go up. the price of bitcoin goes up with demand and that is it. If anything, the price of bitcoin went down after the consensus so it negatively affected the price of bitcoin
