Believing in any mainstream adoption of EarthCoin by merchants is outright crazy.
The future is obvious multi-currency payment processors like coinpayments.net.
Don't fool yourself thinking otherwise. Why should any company accept these clone coins individual? Only to be harassed by fans of the next shitcoin a week later to also be added?

Maybe one day EAC will be one of the 40 coins coinpayments.net processes.
Or in future one of the 100 coins they have. But it's value will always stay at shitty, scrypt, noinnovation coin level.

I'm still holding 16,000. I have some confidence in this coin. To be honest I normally don't expose myself to the risks of any of the cryptos except perhaps Doge as play money and obviously LTC and BTC. This coin has promise and I will be holding long term

As some may know I am long EAC.  I've been mining since day 1.  My pic of my wallet is famous, as I posted it and it got put around on Facebook etc...  I also started selling (successfully) EAC on eBay for initially $30 per 5kEAC then $40, then $50.  I stopped selling on eBay for the time being.  I am lucky... although I'm long EAC I was able to hedge my bets, selling 400k 2 days after launch for 1BTC and the few hundred dollars I made on eBay.  I also gambled and dumped my remaining EAC on Cryptsy because I was able to... I drove the price down, then bought it back up...  I already profited for my time spent mining, now I can afford to be long.

I'm now sitting on 1M EAC that is in my wallet heading to cold storage in the very near future.  I have an additional 200k (ish) of EAC and continue to mine.  I also have my BTC for low buying opportunities...  Will I continue to play the market, buying on dips... selling on highs?  Yes... its how the game is played at this stage.  I realize for every winner at Cryptsy trading there is a looser, but most of the losers are those who auto sell or don't understand how the game is played and panic sell... Yes I will take your money if given the opportunity.

Why am I still mining EAC?  Because it is still profitable for me to do so, and I see no other coin with as much upside potential out there... When I do you wont see me active on this thread as much.

Some posters back nailed it... The market will do what it does... investors will ride the candlesticks pumping and dumping... miners will bemoan the low price and go off to mine something more profitable at the moment or some new crapcoin... People long EAC  will be scratching their heads wondering why, then throwing BTC after BTC trying to catch a falling knife that is EAC trying to get in on that awesome low price.  But what they really get is an empty Bitcoin wallet and more frustration.

The secret to EAC's future as a currency is adoption.  Like them on Facebook, ask your business if they might be willing to accept them... find organizations wanting donations / charity and offer EAC (and publish it).  Sell your services for EAC... be it farming vegetables, tech support, web design, whatever... its up to the community to act like one beyond these forums and this thread.

Hello flasheart. Greetings from Pilsen   Still mining, still profitable. Sometimes 2 mhashes, sometimes 4 mhashes, with small outages when some really good other deal appears.

150k to hold, the rest to profitable mining. This is my strategy. Sold some EACs at 900, some at 800, many at 500 very risky (hoped to price will go down to make a rebuy or re-mine) and very few at 250 just to pay bills. Now selling only coins owned over 150k. Maybe i will go up to 200-300k stackholdings, the diff is now very good and the next x5 reward day may be very interesting. Im a small fish but even small fishes can play the market...

When something grows up rapidly, sell small parts of your portfolio, when something will go down, try to sell and rebuy for one half, when capitulation phase appears, just mine cheap or rebuy... The only risk is a time. All coins go down and up. It will take until there appears real next generation of crypto and will be generally accepted. But this is not a problem of today or tomorrow.

I believe in EAC long term but everyone has their risk threshold and not everyone can afford to have all their money tied up for a long period of time. Looks like the price will continue to drop today.

As soon you see Multipool mining EAC there the price will drop. You cant do anything against it. Im wondering why doge is still "stable" as ppl seem to buy huge amounts of this coin for .38 / .37
