doge is a joke. they have childs and 9gag-user, fanboys/girls and famous meme. but i doubt that it will come far, if earthcoin builds up a nice foundation with honorable goals.
btw: earthcoin is faster.

Bitch please!! considering the availability and amount of coins, Dogecoin is priced higher than every other wannabe altcoins.. and it has way more uses than Earthcoin, LOL...

Well it did get listed on cryptsy but that didn't help did it. We got almost no spike at all, now we are heading back to 200. I wasn't able to sell, not enough volume, almost no buyers, doesn't look so good. Lesson learned about holding onto these coins, there are to many new coins and they all are the same. Best advice is to mine them and dump them same day. Holding long term, as in months, is gambling with any of these new coins. Price always seems to move one way, dooooooowwwwwwwwnnnnnnnn. I am looking to trade 1.2m for steaks or salmon. I can trade these for food right? Hate vegetables. What is the address of the food exchange?

I said it all the time. There was no doubt that EAC will be on Cryptsy. When there is no doubt, then the price will not go up. When the block reward of Bitcoin fell from 50 to 25, everybody was excited what will happen. But it is no news. The prices had adjusted long before.
I mean, seriously? Buy a coin which is not on an exchange and will be on an exchange for sure and then the price will got wild to the north? Seems a little easy, right?

So, why do I hold on this coin? Because I think it is different to other new alt coins. There is commitment from the devs. They have marketing skills. There is a big community (but I fear most of them just waited for Cryptsy. But not the guys who build apps etc.). To be honest, I like the name of this coin. I even like the logo, although it reminds me of the hated IE.

So good. There are getting many coins minted every day. Sure, in this sense it would have been cleverer to buy now or maybe now going short to buy at 100 satoshis. But one can never know. So I am absolutely sure not to sell my few coins under 1000 satoshis. Yes,I bought them mainley because I hope they will gain in value. Please, who didn't? Same with Bitcoin, Litecoin etc.

But I tell you something: That profit thinking is not bad, it is normal. You have some spare money and put it into crypto currencys is like putting it into corporate shares with an outlook to spend them directly on goods and services in the future. I am pretty sure I will not buy tomatoes from a farmer with facebook shares, but there is a possibility I will do that with earthcoins.

So if you want to dump them now, this is your right. But I am confident you will regret this!
(but maybe I am wrong. I am no prophet).

eac/btc price curve?

That is a typical alt-coin curve (candlesticks chart whatever)
Short of some occasional pump and dump effort, or EAC creators doing good on their promises, this coin is going the same way as any other alt-coin - NOWHERE.

Yep, one more BTC panic sell, and there's not buy support anymore, it's straight down to 122 satoshi and less.

From what I've seen so far, I don't think the quick bubble means much. Unless the dev's just walk away from the coin, of course.

They seem more focused on making this one go mainstream. Dunno if they can pull it off, but if they do, then this will be a "I was there when" moment, rather than any kind of predictor.

I've been saying this with bitcoin, as well. It's making some strides. But what a coin really needs to get out of the "niche" category is the ability to be traded at Walmart. Whatever you think of them. If I could go in with my android app to Wally World and buy groceries, I would. So would a whole lot of people. If that happens, the value of the coin will skyrocket, and exchanges will be a niche market like they are now with fiat.

The future of cryptocurrency depends on day to day transactional ability. Bitcoin is about the best for that right now, because it has massive publicity. But it also has a LONG transaction time. It takes seconds to swipe a debit card or hand over some cash. We need that kind of utility in order for crypto to become mainstream. The dev's of this coin seem to understand that, and be working towards it. If they can do it, and market it, they win. And so does anyone holding this coin.

I like the name, I like the dev's so far, and I like the approach. I'm behind this to the extent that I can be. I'm behind bitcoin for similar reasons and it's (relative) stability vs. other coins. Most alt coins, if not all, are simply vehicles to acquire more BTC. At best. They are a hobby and nothing more, and will remain such until the above conditions are met. The coin that pulls that off, wins. Let's make it EAC.
