It's tricky to know whether this helps or hurts cryptos...as it may make the idea palatable to your average person and act as a gateway to the real thing.

You've got to admit they've nailed it with the name.

Not saying they will, but they won't use MintChip. Because it won't work properly. Guaranteed. Tim Hortons just started using debit machines last year for god's sake. Plus, older people won't use it because they want to use cash and don't even like debit. And younger people won't use it because they would rather use bitcoin if they are going to use virtual currency at all.

But I could be wrong and MintChip could blow them all away. But I would bet my paycheque that it will never catch on.

Coinbase is offline right now. When is 5x day? If miners want to be shortsighted and dump eac, I'm going to buy up as much as I can on the way down.

As a Canadian I'm afraid this will go viral. I just hope that when it does catch on it will take our alts along for the ride with it. Fingers Crossed.

they are afraid of (like all big governments) all the virtual currencies, which they can't control, soooo they make a 'nice' virtual currency to look like bitcoin or all other coins to 'lure' people into, and then they can monitor/control it that way Smiley

Anyone dumb enough to not see that deserves debt slavery IMO.

Looks like a lot of people are dumping to get ready to buy back in for the 5x dumps.. probably whys its sub 100 already lol.  Hopefully it stays similarily stable to how it was with the 2x payout.

I'm not looking forward to reading about people complaining and panicking because the price is dropping on 5x payout.

They should just permanently get rid of the 2x and 5x rewards.

It is a lot now, but after 2-3 years (when rewards have halved a couple times), it will be a needed infusion of coins.
