Middlecoin is killing EAC. They keep jumping in and stealing 8 blocks in 10 seconds. Then the dump it all. Over and over again.
Good luck with the .0001x (5x).
poor guys. they could hold and make money... It's keeping me from caring to mine. I loved this coin for 3 days. EAC is at an artificially high difficulty/price ratio with super-long block times.  Meanwhile, a scamcoin is topping the difficulty charts and exchange rates. |

We haven't even had the first 5x day yet (besides launch day), can we wait and see how it actually goes before we yell that the sky is falling?
IMHO 2x and 5x and mining overall = inflation. Diffuculty slows inflation as does less block reward. The keyword remains inflation. Just profitability is less after some time. I think with EAC that time takes longer. I hope investors and miners have enough patience in the long run. Anyone? |

Here's a way to help keep the 2x and 5x payout's from ruining anything. Assuming miners are making a profit off Earthcoin on the normal payouts, they need a reason to keep the bonus payouts for themselves. If we got hardware retailers to accept Earthcoins, this would be incentive for the miners to horde the bonuses so they can put it toward more hashing power.

how do you know it's middlecoin? they don't advertise what coin they are mining. Because I mine with them now and then. I've been tracking their switches and their difficulties in cgminer. It's not hard to see when you compare the difficulty to current difficulties of coins. They are mining doge, eac, and ltc hard. First, a longer round of doge, then they rape eac briefly, then they shift to ltc for a bit. |

Here's a way to help keep the 2x and 5x payout's from ruining anything. Assuming miners are making a profit off Earthcoin on the normal payouts, they need a reason to keep the bonus payouts for themselves. If we got hardware retailers to accept Earthcoins, this would be incentive for the miners to horde the bonuses so they can put it toward more hashing power.

+1 (what if and when when the retailers massively cash in?)I see it as another hop it has to go through which adds time. Not everyone mines at the same rate so some will have to save longer than others. And as a whole it increases the value and utility of the coin. |

Okay guys, I just bought a ton of eac between 100 and 121 ( I pumped it twice to 121, thank you all for the cheap coins btw). I can only can advice you to join me. We will survive this x5 day easy and from now on there is only a way up.
Let me help you a bit. Normally I would discuss in what way some other coins are going to face big problems in the near future, but that is not the way I want to show eac is better.
Lets see it simple.
Eac is worth only 600k and I see a lot of coins with worse dev and communities worth 10 to 100 times eac.
I still think a 100M marketcap is possible within a year.
How can you not like a bet were you can you lose 600k and can win ( with a reasonable chance) 100M, I love it.
For me eac on 120 satoshi is just once in a life time.

My friend do not try to force fate. EarthCoin is a deflationary currency. It is inevitable that it will be worth more, it is just a function of time. However an emergency on your part is not necessarily one on EarthCoin's.
The math, the dev team, the appeal and the transparency and protocol behind the coin is literally perfect. It is only a matter of time. Education and the proliferation of information takes time to turn a base of thousands into millions.
Remember three of us began this project and now there are hundreds actively working to provide content. Most of whom have never met one another but by their collective beliefs they have already accomplished great things. It is an astounding phenomenon to see everyone work together. Time - that is all.
As opposed to our current paper money that plays upon the heart strings and popular history of Wars and sacrifice to adopt your belief in its value. Those days have ended. It is just a function of time.

I don't suppose the dev team could please start using the pre mined coins on popular youtube channel creators that often create bitcoin / alt coin content. I have a list of a few I watch if anybody would be interested. If not maybe we could start a giveaway fund for them? If you want to get more visibility, there wasn't much better than what bill still did for quarks, and he literally didn't have a clue about the technology, i still don't think he does really get it.

someone just bought all EAC from 118-147 on coinEX lol
probably won't happen on cryptsy that easily, but I feel a lot of people who held doge are now selling and buying EAC
doge is (adjusted for diff/block size/block time and so on) 20% more expensive than LTC... which is the definition of insanity
doge is 100x more expensive than EAC... since eac has same stats but 50x less block size
