I don't think it will happen, and I'm hoping it won't really happen. Otherwise, Bitcoin could be the "Mark of the beast" money. I'm strongly opposed to this idea.

Yes, this is what is called the future technological development, from Bitcoin we will see a real proof of the development of digital technology which as a means of payment transactions is easy and safe for all people in the world.
Surely we must learn from all these developments, this is the future !, and this is the digital technology that we will soon feel, we see, and we will use.

World currency is a bit of a stretch in my opinion but i guess it can get there if the rest of the world embraces bitcoin which will probably be in 100 years or so.

If being recognized as a national currency then the value will be controlled by certain big countries, those who have a big reserved will dominate and will have a huge control over the value, I'm not in favor of letting this to happen since I'm always aiming for volatile market and take advantage of certain situations, as I seen that things will be much better if this coin will reserved as it is.

I believe that there is a chance of being the commonly used currency of bitcoin. Already we have seen so many platforms are accepting thia as payment option. So probably that day is not so fat.

I do agree that bitcoin cannot replace the fiat currency. The government will not allow any currency that they cannot control to replace their own national currency except if there is economic collapse. But if you notice countries are now making their own cryptocurrency such as Sweden, they are the first country that have launched the first ever government owned cryptocurrency. Soon other countries will follow their footsteps and eventually will  be used by people. But even though bitcoin will not replace traditional money but it will be still used worldwide.

There's a possibility that bitcoin can be used as world currency but like what he/she said, it can't replace fiat currency. I've read an article stating that there will only be one currency in the world and that will be bitcoin.

I agree bitcoin can be used in many applications. If it does meet or is allowed to be a world currency then it can be a replacement on money transfer. I believe this is the best application for it.

I don't think so the bitcoin can use for the currency for the whole world because we have our currency. We don't know until when bitcoin still alive in this world because they have possibility the price decrease or become dead. And for sure those country who are already ban bitcoin will not accept this coin for currency for their country.

it would be like that bitcoin or other digital currencies can never replace the conventional currency of each country because each country has its own regulation of finance other than that there are still many shortcomings if bitcoin into the world-wide currency.

There is a possibility but it will take decades before this happens because there are still remote areas without internet reception. You can't buy anything if you are in a remote area without reception or the one you want to buy doesn't accept bitcoins because they don't have a wallet. There are a lot of things to consider if we want crypto to replace fiat. But in the future there is a possibility, who knows what lies ahead.

I think bitcoin will only be a symbol of the digital currency. Bitcoin is difficult to become or to replace currency in a country or worldwide.

I think this can happen but not now.Bitcoin is known by only a small percentage of people in the world. Many people do not even know what cryptocurrencies are.Bitcoin requires some basic knowledge to get operated. Moreover it requires internet accessibility which is not available everywhere.Bitcoin is decentralised and that is why it is not backed by any central bank or government.Bitcoin is also very risky as it is very volatile. It is even banned in some nations.

It depends on what you define as a "world" currency. In some aspects, you can consider it as a universal currency since you can accept Bitcoins anywhere at anytime as long as you have an internet connection. It could possibly be a common currency among people depending on the adoption. However, when it comes to being a legal tender across all the countries, it would just downright be impossible. Most governments are against Bitcoins mostly due to their perceived threats to national security (ie. political interest, terrorism funding).

For a long time, now the political elite and the leaders of the Vatican have been looking for a world government and currency,

I do believe that bitcoin is a part of financial future and great way to become an investor, but I have doubts that it can possibly replace traditional money or become world currency.

What are the possibilities and stopovers??
Yes, bitcoin can be used as a world currency but bitcoin needs to be known yet people around the world use it.

Because of the high volatile price of the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, it is quite unlikely to be used as mainstream currencies, it would be unpractical for a person to pay 10$ for a product which will become worth maybe 5$ in one or tow days, the constant change of price is what stops people from using it as everyday currency, but at the same time it is what makes bitcoin very popular and profitable to invest in.

I don't think bitcoin could replace fiat currency. This would be very bad to people who don't believe in bitcoin. They don't want to experience change. But they don't know that change is constant in this world. Our world is developing and bitcoin is part of the development of this world, so, why not?
