IOTA will be #3 in market cap by the end of 2018

I believe IOTA is going to rise to near the top of all cryptocurrencies and reach #3 in market cap by the end of 2018. My prediction is based on several factors including:

1) Trinity wallet will soon be released
2) Recent partnerships and projects including Porche, Qubic, City of Taipei, electric charging stations, etc.
3) No fees for transactions
4) Unlimited scalability

If the top 10 cryptos in market cap stayed where they are. IOTA would need to get to about $10 per MIOTA to reach #3. We know many of those others will rise also, but I predict $20 for one MIOTA by the end of the year as their project get rolled out and the new wallet goes live. I think this will easily get it to #3.

I don't think IOTA is going to be top3
BTC ETH and XRP are projects with bigger potential, in my opinion. But IOTA can be a top 5 coin.

One think you may not be aware is that IOTA is centralized. They have a coordinator node, similar to ripple's master nodes.
Centralization MAY not be something bad in a company, that can even be desirable.

IOTA sure needs free transactions for IoT systems to work, as many transactions are going to be required. That's more important than decentralization for them. THey plan to one day shut down the Coordinator Node, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I agree that eliminating the coordinator is important. I saw an interview recently where one of the IOTA team members/founders stated that the coordinator might be eliminated by the end of this year to early next year. I think this is an important step forward because it will make IOTA more decentralized.

Really want to believe that soon, IOT-projects will soar to the heavens, many times increasing its own capitalization. Just have to wait and see. HODL IOTA/ITC/ROX/...

I look forward to the launch of the trinity wallet,also having  a no transaction fee is something really innovative and thinking out of the box that will drive a lot of user and popularity to iota and thereby driving the price high. Crypto is interesting.

I agree if this altcoin will be one of the biggest. But I think for now, the purchase of altcoin is not or not yet really because of its function. I bought Moita to earn a profit in the future and not to send money to Neptune. And unfortunately all famous altcoin also have the same potential. So I think it will not happen anytime soon.

I fully agree with the project characteristics, but I think that the possible TOP 5 is its absolute maximum. Not 3.

Perhaps the current market capitalization of iota is quite high, because the amount of supply is also quite large.
But I think it will not be easy for iota to be the top three. There is neo, eth, ripple, and even cardano to be defeated.

Although IOTA is one out of good cryptocurrencies on the market but I don't think IOTA has any chance to reach to top 3 on Coinmarketcap ).There are still so many other better cryptocurrencies than IOTA like ADA, XLM,...so I don't think IOTA doesn't have any chance to be able to reach to top 3 )

In the end a competition will win them more efficiently, easily and inexpensively. And it seems like iota has these terms.
Although not this year, I think iota will enter in the history of cryptocurrency.

IOTA looks good, but top 3 is totally unreachable. Doesn't matter how good the project develops, it will not double or triple it value unless the whole market is going up. When the market is going up, so will do the other coins.

Things you analyze are just predictions, absolutely no convincing argument. Currently, IOTA is in the 9th position in the market with a rate of $ 1.90. Entering the top 3 cryptos in 2018, I find it not feasible because the current crypto in my view is not potential. It works on DAG system, not blockchain system like other cryptos. So I do not agree with your opinion!

I disagree. Let's not forget that when IOTA costs $ 10, the remaining cryptocurrencies will also have other costs. IOTA will not be in the top-3. I think at the end of 2018 the top 3 coins will be: Bitcoin, Etherium, EOS.

This will only happen if the Bitcoin price beats the historical high. We are at such a stage that everything seems to say that the market should go to beat new highs, big players come, projects are developing, new partnerships are being concluded and something is about to happen in the air. But it does not happen, the market resembles a swing. So only time will tell if you're right or not.

I do not think that IOTA can have such a huge potential. The top three coins in the market value of cryptocurrencies are currently Bitcoin. Ethereum and Ripple, IOTA is not possible to surpass Bitcoin and Ethereum. Ripple currently does not perform well in the market, but with strong financial backing behind Ripple, it is very difficult for IOTA to go beyond these three coins.

Each altcoin must have a developvent project, just not only IOTA. If you look at the maket.cap altcoin above IOTA has a high market. At now IOTA has a $ 5.06 B market while positioned when Ripple $ 27.48 B and Bitcoin Cash $ 21.93 B has a big difference, I guess it will be difficult to answer 'YES' to your question.
