OP should make a donation adress, so he can get some funds to promote the coin, also big miners should help with promotion Smiley

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

OP will be the first with access to the binaries, I'm sure he'll do just fine.

With the advantage of hindsight, it could retarget based on shorter block intervals, perhaps with some limits in place. Also, in anticipation of a massive amount of hash power at launch, diff could start higher... but that would require an actual programmer, not just a copy/paste coin.

This sounds like a trap, proceed with caution when someone other than the author is trying to compile a wallet for a coin not released yet.

Why don't you just start at higher difficulty?  Oh wait that won't let the early users have lots of coins.
