You are number one. The whole world has just come down on you.
Get your pants on. This isn't some quick little thing.

guess this was the purpose of the whole exercise... to buy up loose CATs while making it very profitable at average difficulty and now fixing the difficulty adjustment... if that plan works out and promotion picks up then deserves a CAT monument!

Well they can do it again, as diff just went to 63.

I don't think there is much to worry about. The CAT is out of the bag. It has entered the public consciousness and is linked to DOGE by virtue of the Daily Beast article.

It might be a good idea to postpone any fork until the price and volume stabilizes. Investors are jumpy creatures.

the fork is necessary for stability the hashrate is going to drop off and then will spike and then we'll be in a 51% worry then it will die off then we'll worry about a 51%...

it will be the yo-yo cycle of hash rape until it's corrected...

But the cat came back, the very next day...

I have to agree with Johnny_Non, the proposed changes seem necessary.

Why are the transactions taking so much time to confirm? It's been over 15 minutes and just 1 confirmation.  Huh

That's what high difficulty does.

EASY CALCULATION FOR TRADES: 1 Million is 1x10e6. 1 Satoshi is 1x10e-8. 1 M sat is 1x10e-2. 100 M sat is 1. If 1 herpcoin = 100 derptoshi then
1 M herpcoin @ 001 derptoshi = 0.01 derpcoin, 1 M herpcoin @ 100 derptoshi = 1.00 derpcoin

How will price and volume stabilize if minting and delivery do not?

Good question. At this price the profitability is decent even at 60+ difficulty, which is why the last 36 blocks only took 6 hours. The next diff will still be right around 60 again, and as long as the price stays up tx times will stay reasonable.

I don't understand, we're at block 21207, diff should have retarget at block 21204, but it's still at 64 ?

Strong work devs.. there "was" increasing interest in the coin.

I'm not speaking about the fact that there's no hashpower.
Diff retarget is still once every 36 blocks, the 2nd fork didn't happen yet.
We should have get a diff retarget at block 21204, leading to a big diff decrease. But diff stayed exactly the same !
How is that possible ?

Edit : ok my bad, diff already did retarget 6 hours ago, we just have 10mn per block right now as intended, so diff is stable.
It's just the networkhashps of 43957116 which is completely wrong. We do have currently ~463MH/s, there's no other logical explanation.

Edited my previous post, diff did retarget. Logged hashrate is just completely off.

21168   2014-01-22 12:08:37   2   358.69445   63.605
21203   2014-01-22 18:01:35   53   4759.89767448   63.605

35 blocks in a little less than 6 hours, that's the intended time.
