I’m "JP" Hepp, the owner of Chocodiem in Clinton, NJ. At Chocodiem I make Belgian artisan chocolates in my store's small kitchen, and now we're the first US chocolate company who accepts bitcoin payments!

I was born in Belgian and lived there for more than 40 years. I have always loved real Belgian chocolate, and now I am selling Belgian-style chocolates in America after acquiring 8 chocolatier certificates from Belgian, Canadian, and Ecuadorian artisan chocolate making schools.

Chocodiem is a small chocolate company with only a few part-time workers. We opened our storefront on August 6th, 2012.
I hand-make Belgian-style pralines, truffles, and other chocolates myself in small batches, and occasionally my pastry chef helps make them.

At www.chocodiem.com you can now use bitcoins to buy chocolates, gift certificates, chocolate-making class tickets, and more. Our online store officially launched on Dec 11th, 2013. We currently only ship to the United States, and we are working on making chocolates that have the bitcoin logo!

5% off online store coupon for bitcoin users: chocodiem-bitcointalk-5
Expires 2/1/2014 - Limited to 100 uses.

Joe K. was the first customer to buy chocolates with bitcoins (on November 20th, 2013.) Thanks Joe!

Also, for DogeCoin fans we have a doge chocolate bar:
http://www.chocodiem.com/product/dog_house_chocolate_bar/
(Someone please make a DogeCoin Woocommerce plugin so we can accept DogeCoin payments online!)

What's new at Chocodiem:
See our 15 new exclusive alcohol-infused truffles http://www.chocodiem.com/product-category/chocolate-truffles/ or our Christmas chocolates http://www.chocodiem.com/product-category/christmas-chocolates/!

I guess it depends on your definitions, but http://www.statelesssweets.com/ has been accepting bitcoin for a while. If you consider them a chocolatier or not is up to you  Smiley but I am a fan of theirs. Hopefully I can soon try yours and become a fan too.

Shire Silver, a better bullion that fits in your wallet. Get some, now accepting bitcoin!

Have you looked into/seen CoinKite and their upcoming system for merchants utilizing Bitcoin?  Really neat hardware they have in development.
Anyways congrats on your business and best of luck in regards to Bitcoin.

Thanks for info.  I checked them out but can not really frame them.  Kind of mystery but searching through Internet data it seems safe to say that I am the first US certified chocolatier taking BitCoins!
