Are the monthly distribution of sMerit fair enough?

Please can someone give me some reasons why some people have not received sMerit since the first one was distributed and some others has already received for the second time? And it was stated by the Merits system that for every 30 days new sMerits will be distributed. Please correct me if am wrong.

Only merit sources receive sMerits on a consistent basis, and it comes back 30 days after they spent it. Normal users, apart from the initial airdrop, will not get any more sMerits airdropped unless theymos decides to do another drop.

It's probably a result of not enough merit sources covering enough timezones, sections and local boards. This should improve in time once theymos has identified members that would be suitable for merit distribution. I believe he's recently suggested that he's struggled to do so though.

There is a misunderstanding
He was talking about "merits sources" Forum users selected from some criteria who receive xx smerits every 30 days and their job is to distribute to the posts that they think to deserve to be rewarded

He is saying that at the time merits were introduced, Theymos loaded everyones account with the initial amount they would receive. After that initial distribution, only users who are merit SOURCES get a redistribution. All other users will only gain merits by having their posts merited

Ok seems like you still haven't get the straightforward answer(s) yet.

- Not sure, but I guess for me it's working fine. I am receiving merits frequently. If we have demand and supply data then may be we can come to a conclusion that  if the monthly sMerit distribution for the merit sources are enough.

I am  pretty sure you are talking about initial merits received by all the members who were above Jr. Member when merit was introduced. That was one time and it was only for rank above Jr. Member. You were not even a member at that time. Your => Date Registered:   March 17, 2018, 09:11:44 PM

Now what I understand is, you are talking about the merits which are received from other members for the contents they created. There is a reason you have not yet received any merit. See your post history page and see mine as well. You will see the differences.

Here you are talking about the merit sources. Every 30 days they receive sMerits as a merit source to reward quality posts of the members. IFAIK there are only 79 merit sources now.
