Can you honestly make bitcoins from faucets?

I know it would take forever but my question is I am doing faucets and the coins are going to my coinbox.me, if I do these forever will I get one bit coin? I guess my question is..is this legit?

Some faucets are legit but it would take you forever to get a reasonable amount of Bitcoin. For me I have found it is simply not worth the time to do this.

It takes around 5 hours to get 1/2000 of a bitcoin from my experience. So if you have a spare couple of years - you could get one.

Alternatively you can try some sites that pay you BTC to perform some tasks, e.g. http://www.bitcoinget.com/task. I've made some BTC to play around using those.

The short answer is yes, you can get some small fractions of btc from faucets.  However, it will only be a small amount and there are a lot better ways now.  Assuming you don't want to exchange money for it, the best source is probably the signature promotions over the in services folder.  As you can see, I participate in one and it give a little.  In addition, many gambling sites offer free BTC, one of the best faucets is ironically run by the primedice people.

However, TonyOliver's point has to be well taken, it will take a long time to get even one entire BTC from these sources.

I can also vouch for bitcoinget, but the payouts have dropped dramatically due to the run up in BTC price.

Late 2011 and beginner/middle of 2012, I got more than 20 BTC, but the price was even $10 and had some services like feedzebirds.com who paid good to tweet, 1, even 2BTC, today it's better to go in the market and buy low, sell hight. IMO

I guess it's very limited and that's why you can't get rich doing this. But probably you can make some cents. This websites are intented to help people to get started with cryptos, not to make money.

You won't get rich from it. It's mainly for new user to get their first bitcoin transaction and see their wallet filed with some small fractions of btc. You can offer service or perform tasks for btc, you will get a better chance of earning more bitcoins that way.

Faucets are free to use. And nothing free is going to make you rich overnight. But the small factions of BTC that faucets pay today might be worth a lot more in a couple of month or years if you just have some patience.

Yes,but slowly. 2 years ago a bitcoin faucet would give 5 BTC per day when the price was low. imagine how rich are people now who used these facuets.
